I am actually still extremely deaf, so excuse me if I can't hear you.
Well, good line up of tracks including "You could be mine", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Out ta get me", "Mr Brownstone", "Anything goes", "Sympathy for the Devil" (Stones Classic), "Paradise City", "Rocket Queen", "Live and Let Die", "My Michelle", "Knockin' on Heaven's door", "Civil War" (Which incorporated some interesting costume changes), "Don't Cry", "It's so Easy", "Down on the Farm" (which is my personal favourite, although fake Axl sang the same verse twice), "Nightrain" (Which was an absolute disaster from a drumming and guitar point of view, absolutely no co-ordination what-so-ever!).
Of course they couldn't do "November Rain" as there's no possible way they could've got a piano in the Fleece - unless they smuggled one up fake Axl's bum, he was considerably much fatter than real Axl. I might suggest it to him for next time.
The lack of November Rain was more than made up for by watching three women, who were clearly dressed up for a night of Disco classics, as they "head banged" to the very commercialised "Sweet Child of Mine" as it was very apparent that this was the only one they knew!
Course, what always makes it a crack is watching the old drunken geeks of years gone by (balding, glasses, tummies poking out, Status Quo T-shirts tucked in, Hush Puppies - you know the sort) twiddling their air guitars, which tend to look more like "Air Triangles" as they get gradually more sloshed! - as an encore, this type will always attempt to fall to their knees and skid along the floor with a pained expression etched on their faces. Fantastic.
Fake Slash was quite comical - very good guitarist, but v. comical. He had his appendix scar on full view, which wasn't very Rock n' Roll, real Slash would've had Axl bite out his appendix then proceed to bleed to death. His trousers were leather, with the sides missing, cunningly held together with criss-crossed strips of leather. (not a pretty sight!)
Fake Steve Adler's boots looked far to new, and the drummer (bless him) looked very young, cute but young.
Fake Axl tended to keep falling over and falling into things and other fake band members as the stage was too small, but he still managed to be admired by having his legs stroked by Disco woman. Sad.
The Fake American accents should've been left well alone too really, to be fair. Although fake Axl seemingly thought he was too good to speak to the audience much and left that up to fake Izzy Stradlin. Not good.
They put far to many swear words into stuff, far more than the great Axl himself. Song's kinda went e.g. "Don't you f***ing cry tonight, I still f****ing love you baby f****ing, yeah! f**cky, f**cky, F**k F**k!!" etc.
Anyway, they were actually quite good really, could've done with speeding the songs up a bit and working together a bit more, but they worked really hard.
Don't know the names of the guy's, as I didn't want to mess with them (especially now I've written this) but seriously, if they were any better, they'd be Guns n' Roses.
I recommend seeing them for a night of giggles (it's worth it to see fake Axl's lunchbox when he puts his foot on the speaker's whilst wearing very small red pants.)
Tip: Don't take your boyfriend if he's had a couple, as he'll blatantly embarrass you by shouting "Fake Axl, you rock man", whilst doing the rock sign in mid air with his right hand. Your mate on the other hand will proceed to play air guitar, whilst forgetting to tell you that he is in fact, mimicking the bloke stood next to him.
P.S. by the way, I completely forgot to mention that fake Slash had the biggest forehead in the history of the world. Thankfully he had a fake Slash hat to disguise it!!! (He could use fake Axl's fake guiness belt - made blatantly out of empty guiness cans, to wrap round his head, should he ever forget his hat)

...Axl Rose
"The Spaghetti Incident?" was released through Geffen Records in 1993 and was more famous for being Guns N' Roses' final release than for being a groundbreaking CD! The band members went back to basics after the complex Use Your Illusion releases and produced a twelve track CD by punk bands cited as their influences when they were an up and coming band on the LA rock scene. Die hard Guns N' Roses fans lapped it up but music critics were ... ...time and the said critics saw this album as a bit of a cop out. A tribute album, nothing original but guaranteed to keep the fans happy.

Advantages: Different approach on some songs you may have heard before Disadvantages: It's just not Guns.
"That's the sound of Guns N' Roses breaking up, right there" - Slash (Guns N' Roses)
I bought this album for about £3.99 simply to complete my GNR CD Collection, as I am a big fan of their music. I was thoroughly disappointed, but, really what could I expect? Coming after the huge double album Use Your Illusion (Volumes I and II), this was the last album produced by Guns N' Roses. Their lineup slightly altered from when the first hit the music scene ... ...much they had changed.
Consider Appetite for Destruction - Heavily original, new and different, ground-breaking stuff. Then this. This album was the culmination of a illustrious career, but it simply fails to produce, it is a terrible anti-climax and you are just left thinking "what happened?".
Now, to be fair, there are some songs that I tolerate, Sympathy For The Devil and Since I Don't Have You are okay, but on the whole, this album is only ...

Advantages: Different, interesting, well worth listening to Disadvantages: Probably not what you're expecting
This is an excellent album - a number of tracks given the Guns n Rises treatment - heavy and punk tracks that you probably wouldn't associate with the Guns. A break away from Appetite and Illusions and a welcome one at that. Well worth investigating. The best tracks to my mind are "Brand New Rose" and "Down on the Farm". The only track given a previous outing is "Coma" played here again in all its glory. All fans of the Guns should have this in their ...

Advantages: Great lyrics and songs Disadvantages: Heavy amount of swearing
The Spaghetti Incident is just one of a number of class albums that G'n'R have produced. It has some great songs on it, and the lyrics, typically for most G'n'R albums, are magnificent and also often quite funny and kooky as well. It is probably not their best album, although it is up there with the great Appetite for Destruction and the classic Use your Illusion efforts as well. Axl howls those lyrics like a man possessed (which he arguably was ...

Advantages: all the classics songs on one album Disadvantages: none if you like this kind of music
I must confess I am not a great "heavy metal/rock" fan but this album is now the most played one in my house (since my Elton John review). I always imagined GunsNRoses songs to be full of bad language that gave the younger generation ideas beyond their station (and I believe some of their songs still do) but there are still some classic ballads which bring a tear to your eye (ie patience, dont cry and knockin on heavens door).
I originally bought this CD for £8.99 in my local supermarket as a present for my partner but somehow he never has actually listened to it yet.
This is the 6th album from the band (so I believe but if I am wrong please let me know) and it contains all the best bits from the others such as Appetite for Destruction, GNR lies, Use your illusion 1, Use your illusion2, the spaghettiincident and GunsnRoses ...
Advantages: Out of this world, thoughtful lyrics, purely awesome guitars Disadvantages: for some people, not the Guns n' Roses we know about.
Chinese Democracy is the 6th album by Gunsn' Roses, one of the most talked about bands in rock history. Although you may be familiar with the band from previous albums such as the "SpaghettiIncident?" and "Appetite for Destruction", this particular album is going to stir your rock soul either for the better or for the worse.
People have long said that Gunsn' Roses, without the original band behind lead singer Axel Rose, would never reach critical acclaim and the stardom they preciously bore. However, in this album, he certainly takes a crack at it.
The album, in my opinion, is legendary. It's style, though clearly rock, takes bits and pieces from many others genres such as oriental, middle eastern and blues. We should give him credit for his creativity and guts to produce something so out-of-this-world.
Evidently, many people are ...
Advantages: Original, fresh new material, resembles the old Guns n Roses Disadvantages: One or two bad tracks, but nothing major
Chinese Democracy is one way overdue album and it really makes you wonder why it took Axl Rose so long to sort his act out and finally get it together. It's been thirteen years since GunsnRoses released a studio album back in 1995 - The SpaghettiIncident, which contained no original material. Chinese Democracy, then, has to be the most eagerly anticipated and long awaited album of all time!
I actually listened to the album in full on GunsnRoses' Myspace page a few days before the official release. Mid-afternoon the album had received nearly two million plays that day. However, sales figures for Chinese Democracy never came close to the iconic release of AC/DC's Black Ice and I believe Chinese Democracy only made it to number 25 in the UK album charts.
Unfortunately, this isn't the old GunsnRoses and only consists of two ...

Album Notes
Guns N' Roses: W. Axl Rose (vocals, keyboards); Duff McKagan (guitar, bass, drums, background vocals); Slash (guitar, background vocals); Gilby Clarke (guitar); Dizzy Reed (keyboards, background vocals); Matt Sorum (drums, percussion, background vocals). Additional personnel: Michael Monroe (vocals); Mike Staggs, Richard Duguay, Carlos Booy (guitar); Mike Fasano (percussion); Eddie Huletz, Rikki Rachtman, S.C. Bailey, Blake Stanton, Eric Mills (background vocals). Producers: Mike Clink, Guns N' Roses, Duff McKagan, Jim Mitchell. THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT? is part of the Geffen Goldline Series. The last official studio recording of the '90s for Guns 'N' Roses was 1993's THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?. This collection of mostly punk covers was released at a time when G'N'R was reeling from both internal dissension (founding member Izzy Stradlin left after the release of USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II) and the great grunge explosion of 1991 that made the band seem passe. Rather than jumping on any bandwagons, the California quintet instead paid homage to heroes overlooked by kids caught up in buying the right kind of flannel. Leading the charge was bassist Duff McKagan (who'd played with almost 30 Seattle bands including the Fartz and Fastbacks), G'N'R recorded scorching covers of songs by Fear ("I Don't Care About You"), the New York Dolls ("Human Being"), and the Damned ("New Rose"). New guitarist Gilby Clarke provided a solid foil for Slash as Axl Rose crooned doo-wop (The Skyliner's "Since I Don't Have You") and sang with a faux British accent (UK Subs' "Down on the Farm"). Being Guns 'N' Roses meant controversy was never far behind and this time around the boys were criticized for including a hidden cover of Charles Manson's "Look At Your Game Girl."
Album Reviews
Rolling Stone (12/9/93, p.65) - 3.5 Stars - Good Plus - "...In THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?, an album of mostly punky cover versions of drunk-rock classics, Guns N' Roses reassert their roots in hard-edged rock & roll-- some punk rock, some not..." Spin (1/27/94, p.67) - "...demonstrates GNR's conviction that early -'70s metal and its sworn enemy, punk rock, were essentially the same beast, connected through glam and testosterone...." Musician (1/94, p.87) - "...[THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?] is a good album for ambivalent G'N'R fans....kudos then for being faithful to the spirit of the originals..." Q (2/94, p.92) - 3 Stars - Good - "...relatively faithful cover versions...." NME (11/27/93, p.31) - (7) - Very Good - "...a bizarre mixture of swagger, nihilism and bad attitood which is as funny as it is exhilarating..." Entertainment Weekly (11/26/93, p.62-63) - "...THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT? scales everything back a notch....Guns 'N' Roses aims to prove it doesn't need two padded CDs, a horn section and a bevy of backup singers to make a joyful racket..." - Rating: A-
