Spider-Man II - Various Artists

...to the successful and brilliant Spider-man album, released in 2002. In my opinion this second spidery rock album is no way near as good as the first. It is still listenable but only a few mentionable tracks stand out as been really good! The Spiderman 2 film (starring Tobey Maguire), was excellent and I found it a little disappointing that the films corresponding album didn't have enough epic tunes, maybe that's just my opinion.

HOWEVER, ...
...hopes for a follow up Spider-man album were a bit high, considering the first one was so good (I have reviewed that one on Ciao also), but the cover for this album is bright and eye catching, everything a spider-man album could be with a colorful booklet inside with comic picture and song information.

This compilation album is a follow up to the successful and brilliant Spider-man album, released in 2002. In my opinion this second spidery rock album is no way near as good as the first. It is still listenable but only a few mentionable tracks stand out as been really good! The Spiderman 2 film (starring Tobey Maguire), was excellent and I found it a little disappointing that the films corresponding album didn't have enough epic tunes, maybe that's just my opinion.

HOWEVER, dashboards song vindicated is the first track of the album, and this is one of my all time favorite rock songs. I still love listening to it as it is so emotional and head banging! Anyone who has heard the song will know why I'm so enthusiastic about it, and that song is a good enough reason to by this album. There are a few other tracks which I really like on the album also.

One of those is 'did you' by hoobstank, which has a wicked bass line and a toe tapping rhythm with imaginative and powerful lyrics. The lost prophets song 'lucky you' also is a great track, but that really is the only other song I really listen to on that album.

With the release of Spiderman 3 on the horizon for release sometime this year, I can hope that the soundtrack of songs associated with the film are just as good as the first album and not as randomly un-epic as some of the songs on this album.

I'm sure some people will find this album entertaining and I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of compilation albums, or the spider-man films, and it alongside the first spider-man compilation album make a strong rock collection!
