The fourth instalment in the Indiana Jones series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released in 2008. This film was directed by Steven Spielberg. city slicker

Advantages: great all rounder
Disadvantages: dreaded extra features or lack of

science fiction movies are now more synonymous with special effects than plot (see star wars episode one for proof of the pudding) dark city is a surprising exception to the rule. That's not to say that the special effects are not at hand, there are employed here, but for once take a hand in hand role to compliment the story rather than to exagerrate. The story is about a man who wakes up without memory to find a woman dead in his flat. He strugles to understand what is happening around him, and confused he runs rather than try to wait around to discover if he actually committed what turns out to be a string of murders. Jones back to his best

Advantages: Great fast paced action film
Disadvantages: A bit long for some of the younger viewers, could have been condensed

Having never seen the previous Indiana Jones movies I was a bit sceptical as to whether this would be any good but I was told by many people that the old films were great & that I should really watch the new one. I knew it was directed by Steve Spielberg who has directed some great films over the years (E.T, Catch me if you can), so I decided to give it a go even if it was mainly just to see what all the fuss was about! The film starts off with Indiana Jones being caught by a group gun wielding foreigners who are looking for the legendary crystal skull. The group is led by Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett) who along with the group are determined the find the crystal skull at all costs & wont stop until they get it.
