***INTRODUCTION***

For those of you who haven't heard of Darren Hayes, he was the lead singer of the Australian band Savage Garden. Savage Garden was a huge success over the world with hits such as 'To the Moon and Back' and 'Truly Madly Deeply'. 'Spin' was Darren's first solo album, and in my opinion it is a strong one.

***THE TRACKS***

1. 'Strange Relationship': This song is amongst the strongest on this CD. It is a good song to start with as it is not a ballad.

2. 'Insatiable': This track is beautiful and really shows off Darren's voice. He sings with depth and emotion on this love song.

3. 'Heart Attack': This is an upbeat song which has a 'feel good' factor to it.

4. 'I Miss You': This ballad is a little too soppy and I think it is a bit weak.

5. 'Dirty': I didn't really like this song to begin with but it grew on me. It is another upbeat track.

6. 'Good Enough': An emotional slow song.

7. 'Crush (1980 Me)': This is a fun 'feel good' song which is perhaps a little cheesy but I like it all the same.

8. 'I Can't Ever Get Enough of You': Yet another lovely emotional song.

9. 'Creepin Up on You': This song was never released, but it is one of my favourites on this album. It is a little different.

10. 'Like it Or Not': A lovely song with nice lyrics.

11. 'What You Like': Yet another good song with nice lyrics.

12. 'Spin': This CD finishes with an 'upbeat' song which is quite catchy.

***PRICE***

Amazon.co.uk sells this CD for £6.99....However I'm sure you will be able to find it cheaper on ebay for instance.

***GOOD POINTS***

Tracks such as Insatiable, Strange Relationship and Creepin up on You really show off Darren's talent. He has an amazing voice, and he can write his own music which shows he has great talent.

This CD offers a good mixture of songs i.e. there aren't too many balads.

It is nice to listen to a pop CD and know that the person you are listening too really has a unique voice....And they really can sing.

***BAD POINTS***

Although I think this is a great debut CD, Darren Hayes offers nothing new from his past work....Which is not necessarily a bad thing (he has offered his fans what they like). His next album 'The Tension and the Spark' is where he really lets himself go, and he tries something different, which is refreshing.
