Well after the long wait, Leona's first album if finally here, is it as good as it should be?
Lets make no mistake, Leona's voice is incredible with a huge range and great depth and power. With a voice like this any song that she sings will sound good.
The Spirit Album consists of 13 unique tracks and a repeated bonus tract of last years number one A Moment In Time
The first song on the album is Bleeding love, which is her new chart topping single, released no coincidentally to get her a spot as a guest singer on 'X Factor'.
This song makes the album worth buying on its own. It is an incredable demonstration of her voice and puts the latest Celine Dion song into a poor second.
The rest of the songs are competent but I feel do not stretch Leona as much as I would have liked and I feel that the company have decided to play safe
Having said that I would have no problems (and have done so a few times) listening to the album all evening on repeat in the CD player.
Would I recommended the Album? Without a doubt, YES. anybody who likes Celine, Whitney, Mariah will love this album. Leona Lewis is up there and I feel will surpass the other female devia's around at the moment.
