Advantages: Pretty good debut, full of loud angry metal songs
Disadvantages: All starts to sound much the same at times though, another Sepultura album could've been better

...by the interesting instrumental (featuring Max on sitar) and laid back end. ‘Bumbklatt’, however, is simply Soulfly by numbers; the primitive musical backing and lyrics that seem to lack the focus of before. ‘Soulfly’, the title track, comes as something of a relief mid-album. An instrumental jam, again featuring sitar along with five percussionists and an acoustic bass. Not exactly for the next ‘Ibiza Chillout’ compilation, but a relaxing and calming break. As Max describes it in the inlay “We sat outside the studio at night, among a few candles, and closed our eyes for a minute. After that, we jammed straight from our hearts. The album includes a list of thirteen memorable tracks ; each one co-written by the singer. Spirit consists of up tempo songs such as 'Better In Time' as well as beautiful ballads such as the emotional 'Footprints In The Sand' which were this years charity Songs for Comic Relief. The Singer sometimes referred to as the 'younger version of Whitney Houston' really gives it her all on this CD. Leona puts thought and effort into each note she sings and lets her personality shine through each phrase.
