Advantages: Great long lasting smell, nice bottle Disadvantages: A little more expensive than others on the market
I was bought this aftershave for Christmas this year by my girlfriend. I liked it so much; I thought I would share my opinion of it with Ciao.
Packaging
Jean Paul Gaultier 'Le Male' comes in a silver tin with the 'Jean Paul Gaultier' label embossed on the front. You can pull the bottom of the tin off, and the bottle of aftershave sits in a stand on the base, which is attached to the base of the tin. Inside the top section of the tin is a white plastic section which holds the top of the bottle square inside the tin, once the bottle is back inside which stops it from rattling around and possibly being smashed inside.
The bottle itself is typical of Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave and comes in their famous body shaped bottle. This particular bottle is in the theme of a sailor. The bottle is an off navy blue with white stripes ...
Advantages: Some of the band's best tracks, their last really good album Disadvantages: Some boring songs, I listened to my copy to death! (see review).
the mixed images of photography, realistic and cartoon drawings work well in contrast to one another.
The song lyrics, scribbled across the pages, looked very incomplete but suited the mood of the rest of the presentation. They were definitely needed to clarify some of the 'wondrous, deep and meaningful' lyrics throughout this album.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
In spite of being the bands least appreciated album at this point, it is one of the records that it more widely accessible here in the UK. Many of their albums that I have are exports but you can purchase 'Spiritual Machines' from many internet shops over here with the following price tags:

This is a superb recording by Craig Ogden who skillfully interprets this beautiful music. I found the whole album to be a diverse collection of intoxicating pieces. The writing is sensitive and delicate in places but there are also vibrant pieces which include torrents of magical playing and writing. The strong Spanish themes are invigorating having a profusion of many elements, fire, passion and a bold richness of melodies. In particular the suite depicting the story of Don Quixote is refreshingly different and adds a new dimension to the original story with its powerful rhythmic passages. The passionate interpretation of the poems by Garcia Lorca is a joy to listen to.
