Album Notes: An extension of Gruff Rhys's guest appearance on Boom Bip's BLUE EYED IN THE RED ROOM, Neon Neon finds the two performers delving deep into 1980s culture for a concept album about high-rolling car manufacturer John DeLorean. While a few tracks feature hip-hop luminaries (most notably Spank Rock and Fatlip), most tunes on STAINLESS STYLE are fascinating simulacra of synth-laden `80s pop tunes, best shown on the propulsive "I Told Her on Alderaan" and the bouncy "Raquel." Although fans of Rhys's day job--the Super Furry Animals--and Boom Bip's more subdued work may be initially perplexed, the collaboration is a highly entertaining exercise in STYLE.

...Neon Ballroom is Silverchair third album and definitely their best so far. They made their first at the age of 15 and things have just got better for Danial Johns and co. The album is an amazing mix of musical styles, from the very heavy Spawn again to the beautifully weepy miss you love Neon ballroom is a roller coaster of emotions with tale of lost love and self abuse cocaine addicts and god knows what else. Some may say that Johns is putting it on, maybe he is but is sounds so wonderful I don’t care....

...Freak Show is not as good as Frogstomp or Neon Ballroom. The songs are all quite similar to each other but they are all still good. The best song is “Pop song for us rejects”. This is heavy rock. If you have heard songs from “Neon Ballroom” don’t expect the songs here to resemble them, with the excepting of “Spawn Again” which is a bit similar. Neon Ballroom is more diverse than Freak Show and I would recommend that over this for new fans. However if you like Neon Ballroom and are looking for something a little harder, Freak Show is for you. Silverchair’s debut album is also worth a listen. Overall, Freak Show is a good album, but not Silverchair’s best....

Advantages: Brilliant lyrics, very different, sound is brilliant Disadvantages: Not enough tracks
...Potentially the best album of 2007, The best tracks are OCeans of noise which starts with music from the ocean e.g. waves.
No cars go is a very nice tune which is very catchy but can be a bit repepetitive.
Windowsill and Intervention are tracks which display a powerful message with very meaningful lyrics. Windowsill is the best track on the album and has a very good meaning.
The worst tracks are Black mirror and Neon Bible but that doesnt mean there not very good.
Buy this album as soon as you can if you want to hear something different. It has a bit of everything and there are many differnet instruments that you can hear. In Intervention there use church instruments to give the song a strong sound....
