This review would end up as a major dissertation if I reviewed every track so I won't, I'll select what for me are the best to review:

The GirlFromIpanema:
One of those 'hate it' or 'love it' tunes. A very silky male vocal in Spanish, then a second verse from a female vocalist (Gilberto?). Getz does not get to play till almost halfway through this track when he comes in with a very strong solo. He then spends the end of the track backing the vocal with an unusually high set of notes for him. Just class.
Summertime:
You would not believe how many saxophone versions...

Advantages: A great jazz collection Disadvantages: Stan is the only soloist
...I don't know if this album received that much attention when it came out but I've been listening to it lately a lot. I'm a saxophone player, and Getz is not even usually one of my favorites. Occasionally...

From the very intro it is evident that they have decided to not entirely abandon their Jazz roots. The Band had however now reached a point in their career where other accomplished Jazz Musicians like Joe Sample, Michael Brecker, and StanGetz wanted to guest on their Album and their presence here does not go unnoticed.
Here Tracey's voice is as smooth and soft as ever with a silky edge that could have only been possible with the new sense of maturity that the duo had found. Everything But The Girl had finally grown up....
If the very first track, Driving shows us that Tracey Thorn is right on form...
