Advantages: Great overall album Disadvantages: None
...This was the album that brought Manic street preachers into the top of the charts and into the limelight with this third album release ‘Everything Must Go’ which was released in 96. This was the year that the manics played main stages at festivals such as Phoenix 96, in front of thousands of people and finally got the appreciation by people
which they should of deserved many years ago. Their chart topping singles include, ‘Everything Must Go, ‘Australia’ and ‘Design For Life’.
This was also the first without their other guitarist Richey but still has his influence as many of the tracks on this album were co-written by him.
This was the first of the albums that I bought, and includes some of their best music that they have done and are definite anthems that everyone knows them for, their tracks...

Happy Hour again Review ofBest Of The Housemartins, The - Housemartinsby

Advantages: witty political pop, a blast from the eighties Disadvantages: most of the songs are short

FIVE GET OVER EXCITED 2:39
Released in 1987 this song takes a poke at the stereo typical yuppie londoner. Starting with the lyrics FUN FUN FUN, it's the story of a young londoner and the reasons he feels makes him fun, eg: he drinks daddy's home brew and calms his curly hair with gel,he wears black but his bread is brown. A dig at the middle class from these working class northern lads. Classic.
CARAVAN OF LOVE 3:39
Wonderfull acapella released at christmas time. Originally written by E.Isley/M.Isley/Jasper, the Housemartin's did this one proud. Proving to us that they really all could sing, you can't help but enjoy this tune. Hugh's bass vocal and Paul's nasally lead are fantastic. A feel good song that is telling us all...

Advantages: Excellent tracks Disadvantages: No lyrics in listings
...For anyone who is considering buy an album, i would strongly recomend the Joshua Tree by U2. Track after track of pure U2 brilliance, eac track as good as the last. he album opens with the rock classic Where The Streets Have no Name, a brilliant composition by Bono and Co. I still havent found what im looking for is an upbeat feel-good song, which you uncontrollably feel compelled to sing along to. With or without you is a tear jerking love song, and bullet the blue sky a hard rock piece. Tracks like Running to Stand Still, Red Hill Mining town, and In gods country are true 80'2 rock songs, which will have even your granny tapping her feet to.Trip through your wires will have you imitating Larrys drum rolls, and One tree hill wil make you play air guitar like jimmy hendrix. Exit and Mothers of the disappeared finish the wonderful album...
