Advantages: Outstanding adventure in abandoned nature Disadvantages: none!
In summer 2006 i visited Norway with my car. We went to the northest point and therefore i can write a few lines about nice alps - not alps from central europe but alps from Norway.
These are close to biggest city above the polar circle called Tromso. As I said it is behind polar circle and therefore in summer the sun there never goes down - there is no sunset for months. This makes climbing mountains verz interesting there because you dont need to hurry to be down before sunset:)
We have driven to the village that is on the seaside in front of alps and there i bought a map. It was weird map because there were mountains on it without any path longer than 3km so i decided that we have to go without any road. The highest mountain is 1833 meters high and i have chosen Daltingen - mountain that was close to seaside and has more than ...
Advantages: A great way to see some of the most spectacular scenery Norway has to offer Disadvantages: On a foggy day, you won't see much!
Although I was born and raised in Oslo, Norway, I have never traveled much in my own country. Last summer, I had a friend visiting from the United States and I decided this was my opportunity to see something beyond Oslo. My friend only stayed with me for a week, so between seeing the sights of Oslo and experiencing its nightlife, not much time was left. This was the main reason why we decided to take a trip with ?Norwayin a Nutshell?.
?Norwayin a Nutshell? is an extremely popular trip inNorway that lets you experience some breathtaking scenery. We started the trip by taking the train from Oslo to Bergen, although you can start and end your trip at any leg of the journey you chose. The train takes you from Oslo, through beautiful mountain landscape. I think I even saw a glacier! The first stop of the journey is Finse ...

Advantages: Scenery great and pretty architecture Disadvantages: Expensive
Ålesund is a pretty town on the coast of Norway, north of Bergen. The story goes that during a tragic fire on a cold night in January 1904, a prison warder released the prisoners shouting ?Come back tomorrow!? sadly the fire destroyed 850 homes and left ten thousand homeless. Fires were quite common inNorway where the houses are mostly made of wood. Architects and craftsmen came from all over Norway and rebuilt the town in 3 years and built some lovely Art Nouveau style houses, with turrets, spires and fancy ornaments which are much admired. It was voted the most beautiful town inNorwayin 2007 by Norwegian people.
Ålesund town centre is built on the islands of Aspøy and Nørvøy, while Hessa and Oksnøy contain residential areas. The second largest island, Elingsøy, used to be accessible only by boat but a subsea tunnel was built to ...

Album Notes
Keith Jarrett Trio: Keith Jarrett (piano); Gary Peacock (bass); Jack DeJohnette (drums). Recorded live at the Konserthus, Oslo, Norway on October 7, 1989. Jarrett seems most at home when flanked by the highly acclaimed rhythm section of Peacock and DeJohnette, using their superb musicianship as the framework on which to hang his beautiful, scattered improvisations. Recorded live in Oslo in 1989, this concert testifies to the trio's wonderful chemistry. Jarrett's fingers never tire of surprising the ivories, turning even these familiar standards inside out, deconstructing their melodies, looking for hidden meanings. On tracks like "Just In Time," and "I Hear A Rhapsody," he employs flurries of notes in a manner that is often more rhythmic than melodic, establishing a fine, subtle dialogue with DeJohnette's drumming, which is full of off-the-cuff syncopated fills and a battery of accents. By contrast, the sweet gentility of "Old Folks" and "Little Girl Blue" find Jarrett playing free and easy loops around the dominant chords. Peacock turns out excellent bass solos on "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing," and "Dedicated To You." A delightful, intricate and thoroughly enjoyable listen.
Album Reviews
Down Beat (8/95, p.44) - 4 Stars - Very Good - "...gorgeous melodies with soulful reverence. The interplay is tantalizing as Peacock and DeJohnette follow Jarrett's relaxed and incandescent lead..." Vibe (10/95, p.142) - "...offer[s] the opportunity to witness three master craftsmen delighting in their work..."
