Despite their absence, personal problems and flagging musical reputation (Be Here Now) Oasis made a surprise return to form with last years ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants’. Defiantly one of the best albums of the year along with Radiohead’s ‘Kid A’ and Primal scream’s ‘Exterminator’. Oasis have found a much need new direction in tracks such as ‘Sunday morning Call’ and ‘Whole feels love’ but perhaps most admirably the opening instrumental ‘Fucking in the bushes’. ‘Go Let it out’ is the usual Oasis anthem and sounds rather monotonous and received much more attention than the better tracks ‘Gas Panic’ and ‘Where did it all go Wrong?’. However Oasis have always had had a downside; he’s called Liam Gallageher. Our kid makes his first Song-writing contribution on this album ‘Little James’. ‘Live for your toys, even though they make noise’ need I say more. One wonders just how drunk the older Gallagher must have been to let this song get on the Album. Overall a mighty fine Album.

Advantages: A Mass improvement on SOTSOG, Some great tracks, good production Disadvantages: They have moved away from the earlier sound, which some people may not enjoy
Advantages: A good taste of what the band would be like live Disadvantages: A little too much talking between song, but it adds a personal touch so its not too bad
