Connect Four
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At 7 years old I was playing connect four with my brother and yesterday, aged 18 I played connect four with my youngest brother and still thoroughly enjoyed it! Connect four has been going for years and is a game of strategy for two players.
The Game
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The actual game consists of a vertical board made from blue plastic, which has six slots running down through the centre of it where the counters can be dropped. The board has 42 circular holes in it where you can see the counters that have been dropped in through the top. Advantages: A Good Read and Not too Heavy Disadvantages: Not an addictive read
...Sheila O'Flanagan is a popular Irish writer who has written a lot of popular novels. Her novels are normally one long continuous story. 'Connections' is different as it is a collection of stories, all based around a hotel - 'White Sands' - in the Carribean.

Advantages: QUICK TO SET UP AND QUICK TO PUT AWAY Disadvantages: ONLY FOR TWO PLAYERS
...CONNECT 4

The object of the game is to then slot the counters in the grid (it houses 42 counters as a maximum) at the top (taking turns) and the first player to get four counters in a straight line wins. The line can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, but the row must be uninterrupted. Of course, whilst you are trying to get your four in a row, you are at the same time trying to block your opponent from achieving the same thing.
What I like most about the game is that very young children can master it (I would say age 4...
