I have a tape of their hits in my car and get strange looks when I stop at a red light and the car next to me hears the music of Steps, the look of absolute disgust that is fired at me makes me even more determined to beat my addiction. In work I have a small cd player in the office I work in and since I have started to listen to Steps people have stopped coming to see me. Steps are of course the three girls, Lisa, Clare and Faye along with the two guys Lee and H. I find them a nice group with a good clean cut image and I think they are a good advert for young kids as a group to look up to…
I enjoy the videos to their singles especially the video they did for “It’s the way that you make me a feel” which is a cracking little summer song. The video of course was the one they all dressed up in Victorian clothes and the lovely Lisa was sporting the new brace in her teeth, and full marks to her for doing that as it showed young kids that it can be cool to wear a brace…
I love all their songs which include Tragedy, Deeper Shade of Blue, Stomp, Better the Devil you Know and many more. As I said earlier I have been caught singing them all during the course of the day…
So the question you are all asking, which girl does he fancy, well that is easy answered, it has to be Lisa. This girl is just so good looking and sexy, loved it when she had the blue streaks running through her head, does that make her a bluehead?
The group are definitely going to be making hits for years to come and they are so like Abba except for the extra girl, and I am not complaining about the extra girl. They are mostly followed by a younger audience and as I said earlier it’s nice to see a band like Steps having a good influence on this age group…Although they do attract the odd old fellow as well!!
I would say their last album Buzz was the best as it contains my favourite track which of course is “It’s the way that you make me feel”. That single just has a summer feel about it and has to be one of the most catchy tunes that I have heard..
Anyway I have confessed to being a big Steps fan so my secret is out, I feel a weight has been lifted now by this confession to you all. I hope this doesn’t lower your opinion of me and make you all feel that I am sort of weirdo, that’s the last thing I would want you lot thinking…..

...now, the actual splitting of STEPS has not affected me at all! This opinion was all hyped on how long STEPS were going to last written back in 2001! Now they have actually split up...
StEpS WAS a band of 5 which included Faye, Lisa, claire, Lee and H who had been around for quite a while and finally realised there time was up! I have no right to say that STEPS were a complete failure because they were totally 100% not! They were a sucessful band/group ... ...gIrLs' but sTePs actually split making their ' long era' actually come to a shooting halt!
THE STEPS UPWARDS ================ The group came together in 1997 when there was a competition, all 5 members of sTePs came together together to form the amazing group.

Advantages: Great music , funky dance routines , great entertainers Disadvantages: They split up!!!!
Steps were a very popular British Pop Group.They were in the charts from 1997 to 2001.They were a girl/boy group and the members consisted of Claire Richards , Lisa-Scottlee , Faye Tozer, Ian 'H' Watkins and Lee Latchford-Evans.

The youngest member yet the one with the best voice.Claire was born in Middlesex on August 17th 1977.Prior to Steps she was in a band called TSD , they had a short taste of fame and toured with the likes ... ...leaving steps she and fellow steps member H formed a duo simply called 'H & Claire'

...cater for all likes. Steps have also all got good singing voices, but because of the routines some of their songs can't be sung live - it's just impossible! But if you can find a band that sing all their songs live its a rarety. Steps rule! ...

Advantages: The early songs Disadvantages: It's all gone wrong...
...of the biggest (and oldest!) Steps fans around, finding them kitsch, cute, and cuddle (the women at least - the blokes always were smarmy and slimey!). Songs like 'Last Thing On My Mind' and 'One For Sorrow' were reminiscent of Bananarama in their prime and the group, even if manufactured and overchoreographed, were actually quite interesting. Sadly, with the dire second LP 'Steptacular' (the title sums it up - awful) any credibility they had in ...

Advantages: The classic songs One For Sorrow & Better Best Forgotten. Disadvantages: Some songs are bad and you will skip them all the time.
...are added to make the album have enough tracks to make people buy the album.
All in all its a first album from a group which is now very big in the UK. Not as good as many first albums but still has it's fair share of Steps classics. ...

Advantages: A fantastic dose of cheesy pop! Disadvantages: A couple of slushy mushy ones!
How many years is it since Steps split up? 3, 4, to be honest I?m not too sure now, so much has happened since then. But at the time steps were my life! (Yeah, yeah very sad I know!) But regardless of this Steps will always be one of my favourite bands!

There music was classed as pop, although most people I know say it is cheesy pop! They were well known for they?re easy to pick up dance routines for each cong they released!

Step one was Steps' first album - released in August 1998.

Last thing on my mind - Great get up and dance song.Faye sings the first verse , claire 2nd verse and Lisa the 3 verse with everyone singing the chorus.
5,6,7,8 - Steps' first ever single! This is a country and western song with a Lee rapping. Probably my least favourite steps song ever!
One for sorrow - Great ballad starts of slow , builds up becomes more dancy towards the end. first verse sang by claire , second verse claire and third verse claire.Claire sings the choruses as well , with a faint joining in from the rest of the band.So pretty much the whole song sang by Claire.
Heartbeat was steps first number one! It's a great feel good song.

Steps were formed in 1997 and this was their debut album, which was produced by Pete Waterman. Contrary to popular belief, the group weren't put together by him. He only started producing them after their debut single.
Always good value at parties and for listening to, Steps did terrible concerts without live bands so I refused to go and see them except at roadshows and one-off charity concerts. However, I enjoyed most of their songs and I especially like this album which was released in July 1998.
