Advantages: A good mixture of covers Disadvantages: Not enough songs!
...Madness in the their latter years somewhat lost touch, and lost their connection with their roots. Everything that made them who they were in the late part of the 70's had all but gone by as early as 1981. But 2005 saw Madness take a welcomed return to those roots we all missed. However it wasn't with new writings or recordings. It was covers of those bands that helped create them. The Dangermen Sessions - Volume 1. From the soulfulness of The Supremes - You Keep Me Hanging On to the roots reggae of Bob Marleys' - So Much Trouble In The World. Not to mention covers of The Kinks, Desmond Dekker and of course, probably the man who played the biggest influence on Madness. . . . Prince Buster. This CD is a must have for any Madness fan....

Advantages: A great look at the influences of The Prodigy Disadvantages: This won't please their new commercial fans
...Why is this listed in techno? Liam Howlett gives an excellent showmanship on the wheels of steel, that gives a taste of Breaks and Hip Hop more than techno (don't see no Jeff Mills trickery here).
CD was released under the pretence of 'Prodigy presents Dirtchamber SessionsVol.1' with the idea that there would be further releases, unfortunantely the new fanbase that had heard the infamous Firestarter and Breath tracks did not seem to keen on The Prodigy showing where their musical roots originally layed when they were a little younger and showing off what music they liked off the stage. Sadly further releases had the plug pulled on them...
Look at this album as not another installment of The Prodigy, but one phatt mix that is original and an insight to Liam Howlett's love of all music taking in the likes of Chemical Brothers, Jane...

Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
...A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents...
