Additional notes
Album Notes: In Barry White's world, everything revolves around the sentiment of love. Giving love, receiving love, and spreading love, all set to a symphonic rhapsody of lush musical arrangements. These are the ingredients with which White has crafted a solid career spanning nearly three decades. STONE GON', his Top Twenty charting 1973 release, is soaked in that festival of love. Each song begins with at least three or four minutes of White's husky growl elaborating in spoken word about the love he has in his heart and how he would be lost without that special someone with whom to share it. In the five songs on the album, he sustains that romantic groove through almost 40 minutes of music. The opening song, \"Girl It's True, Yes I'll Always Love You\" begins with his trademark string section easing into a slow-jam as White professes endless dedication to his lady. \"Honey Please, Can't Ya See,\" backed by his female vocal trio, Love Unlimited, is the singer's promise of ceaseless dedication. \"You're My Baby\" capitalizes on White's silky smooth lyrics letting his woman know that he'll be loving her always. The self-explanatory \"Hard To Believe That I Found You\" is filled with the wonder of the feelings at the start of a love affair. Ending the album is the Top Seven hit \"Never Never Gonna Give Ya Up\" which is the perfect Barry White song. Beginning with a space-age buildup coupled with White's moans, it eventually turns into a disco devotional that makes it difficult for listeners not to want to move to the beat of sticking to the one you love.
Advantages: Music to make love to........ Disadvantages: bit sad if your listening on your own
...All the classics are here...from the walrus of love. Theres 16 tracks most of which are classics, a couple of weak links but thats personal opinion.
Tracks include 'see the trouble with me', 'loves theme', 'let the music play' & 'never gonna give you up'. The CDs presentation is nothing special and the whole thing could be called a cash in....but if you don't own any other BarryWhite albums then this is well worth considering, if you have then theres no point unless your a die hard fan of his.
If your not a big fan of mushy love songs then I'd give this one a miss... it's full of them.
Overall I'd recommend it... its a good product nothing new but still good and cheaper than buying all his other albums...

Advantages: Soul R&B and Barry Disadvantages: Can't see any
...I bought this CD for my Gran for her Christmas but I never got round to giving it to her. I have been a BarryWhite fan for a short time (ever since I got a card which played 'My Everything' and this CD was on sale for £3.33 and I couldn't pass it up.
A little background on Barry can be found on the insert for the album which is only 2 sides.
The album contains 13 chocolaty songs (list missing from Amazon) and shown in the CD cover - the brown tones add to this seductive chocolate feeling.

Advantages: Loads of great songs Disadvantages: Some not so great songs
...'s in love and the love is surrounding him. It is a happy song, I guess, but the tune makes it seem sad. I think that's about it for this song.
2. But not for me - Elton John
Well, the song is less famous than the last one, but the singer is more famous. One of Elton's poorer songs, but I am one that believes Elton never has a poor song, so I would say that yes it is worse than his other songs but it is still a good song. iT's very slow, and sad. It talks about how people are writing love songs, butnot for him and how he was a fool to fall in love.He has split with his girlfriend and is sad. It is obviously Elton John as he has a very recognisable voice. The vocal, of course, is great, but the lyrics and tune bring it down.
3. You're the first, my last, my everything - BarryWhite
Another famous guy, and this time, a very famous song...
