...I enjoyed "Sex" with Madonna (how many girls can say that?) and "Erotica", but it was nice to have a more tender approach on these alternative "Bedtime Stories". Madonna has delivered perhaps her warmest album with deep, gently pulsating grooves. I think the best songs are the ones that stretch this new warmth - the slow seductiveness of "Secret", "Bedtime Story" (co-written bizarrely enough with Bjork), "Inside of Me", "Sanctuary" and "Take a Bow". Almost the opposite of the near-clinic attitude on "Erotica", the production of Bedtime Stories suggests that she wants us to see another side of her, and she does that very successfully....

Advantages: Its different from most of the music we listen to today. Its really fresh. Disadvantages: I would think there is none but however, there are people who are just punk rock.
...Every single song on HOT FUSS by the killers tell a dramatic story. Lead singer Brandon Flowers has a voice that has the ability to illustrate all that. I was suprised to find out that they were american because it is certainly rare for an american band to come out with such innovative material. "Mr Brightside" is a beautiful rock number of a story of love, betrayal, denial and helplessness whereas "Somebody Told Me" is a sneer tongue in cheek talk back song especially to your ex girlfriend. Then there are other fine tracks like "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine", "Andy You're A star" which at times may make you wonder if they are trying to be british. Either way, Hot Fuss is one album not to be missed....

Advantages: Original Disadvantages: There is none

I was often suprised how PJ Harvey can change the tone of a song completely by subtle changes in the way she sings it. There is an underlying feeling of movement from one song to the next which runs through the entire album. It has a very different appeal to it than her previous albums and stands as it is. This music reminds me of water and to that I say "Dip him in the river who loves water" (Blake). More please....
