Track 3 'Cinnamon' is upbeat tune and my favourite on the album is about being entranced by someone and trying to shake that off. The mood is brought down by the next track 'High Enough', which has very little music just some gentle keyboard and percussion. T
rack 5 'Your Taking my Heart; has much stronger accompaniment and brings the pace up slightly although the mood is quite sombre - the title says it all really the following track 'Your not around' continues in the same vain.
The seventh track 'Roll Like a stone' is ukulele based and has a lighter feel with a quicker tempo and a catchy chorus about rolling with the punches of life and getting up when it knocks you down. Track 8 keeps the tempo up, 'Save Me' has a different feel with the slightly distorted electric guitar and Balsamo showing his vocal range. T his tempo doesn't last as 'The King of Broken Dreams' is a little slower but great none the less talking about missed chances. 'Journeys End' is another mix of acoustic and electric guitar, as always the lyrics are great, the tune simple but catchy.
The final track 'Is it true what they say about us ?' is also a cracker and a great way to end, starting off with just a strumming acoustic guitar for accompaniment, then a little electric being added, with the building up into the chorus. The lyrics are about a relationship becoming stale and missing how it used to be.
Its is not easy to pick the album up cheaply as it is on an independent label. The best deal I found for a new copy was £9.99 from hmv.com but if you want a great album from a band that are bound to make it big (they have already supported Elton John on 2 Tours, as well as Run Rig, Van Halen and many others) then get it. The story telling in the album is great.
Advantages: Real talent and catchy songs Disadvantages: None
This album totally rocks! I love the fact that whilst most bands will have a lead singer these guys share lead vocal duties, and that means that each and every song has it's own identity and depth. Obviously a very talented bunch of musicians and singers, and their song writing is second to none. Thoroughly enjoyable album, with song after song that just gets stuck in your head. No wonder Sir Elton John called these guys up personally and invited ... ...album captures the energy of this band, who just seem to get better and better every time you see them live, and considering how highly I thought of them the first time I saw them, it's hard to believe that would be possible. Definitely ones to watch, and definitely an album to buy and listen to over and over again. Can't wait for their next album.

Album Notes
On their self-titled debut album, the Storys offer up a confident set of acoustic-driven pop/rock. Boasting four (yes, four) singer-songwriters, this U.K.-based act succeeds in making Coldplay seem edgy with its effortlessly catchy choruses and sensitive lyrics, as best revealed on the uplifting sing-along "I Believe in Love" and the thoughtful ballad "Be By Your Side."
