I absolutely love this album.
I think it is undoubtedly one of the best HipHop albums ever produced. But, and I still find this, alot of people frown upon the lyrics, and find the music unbearable, simply because of the coarse language.
The Gangsta syndicate behind the project, fronted by Eazy-E, and featuring music mega monsters such as Doctor Dre & Yella, knew this, and the lyrics "NWA is not for the pop charts" show this.
This group of "Niggaz with Attitude" wrote songs to be provocative, as is shown in "F*** tha Police", and also to reflect reality.
There is quite alot of mention of racism, and it is worth listening to "Dope Man" because, despite what the title may insinuate, it is anti drugs!
To delve deeply into straight outta compton is an exciting adventure. In depth analysis of straight outta compton can be an enriching experience. While much has been written on its influence on contemporary living, its influence on western cinema has not been given proper recognition. It is an unfortunate consequence of our civilizations history that straight outta compton is rarely given rational consideration by those most reliant on technology, many of whom fail to comprehend the full scope of straight outta compton.
