Advantages: Top quality recording. If you like straighter rock! Disadvantages: Straighter rock and less space-rock! Pales in comparison to earlier music!!
...Jethro Tull's ' Ian Anderson' . There was also definitely a very strong Pink Floyd influence .....in fact anyone liking them should really check this band out. Take a listen to the ' Eloy's' ' Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes ' CD and you'll hear some very Gilmour-esque guitarwork in the style of ' Shine on You Crazy Diamond ' .
'RA' is a 1988 recording and one of there mid period releases. Preceeding this one are 14 other albums i believe. I have to say this one, is one of my least favourites of theirs.
The earlier ones like ' Inside ' ' Ocean' and ' Floating ' show them at their best , as does the ' live ' double. If you prefer a more straighter, linear rock though you might like ' RA ' better ,but it's really not in the same class as the ones mentioned, although it does have it's moments , like on ' Voyager ' and ' Invasion...

Advantages: The Doors, with their peculiar style Disadvantages: None for me
...'Strange Days' - The Doors (1967)
Released on vinyl October, 1967, ‘Strange Days’ became the second gold album by this band (it was the second album they released). This would happen with every album they’d release, and this’d make The Doors the first band ever to have eight golden album on a road (all their late 60’s early 70’s official albums).
This band was formed the year before (1966) after James Douglas Morrison and Raymond Manzarek met at some California beach and chat about poetry. They were both arts students, and after talking about poetry, Jim read to Ray some of his poems. Raymond liked it, and he though immediately about some melody and tune for it. He was a quite good keyboards player, and knew a good guitar and drums players. They just needed a singer, and there was Morrison, with a quite good and low voice...

Advantages: Every single song included, every single note I would even say. Disadvantages: The price of this and every album by this band, at least here in Spain...and the fact that this album happened to be the last this band recorded (not released)
...Clapton’s home. In his garden, sitting at the sun, he wrote this lovely acoustic tune. Great acoustic guitar played by Harrison, with a nice slow beginning, and with McCartney playing second voice well. Some lyrics: “Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter, Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here, Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, And I say it's all right”.

8. Because (Lennon-McCartney:
Song penned by John Lennon. Strange lyrics, and a piano tune Lennon wrote before listening his girlfriend, Yoko Ono, playing some tune at their piano, some Beethoven chords (‘Moonlight sonata’). He got that tune, and played in the opposite way, from end to beginning, resulting this ‘Because’. Very interesting way to write a song, and excellent results: a very slow tune, with nine voices. There was a rumour...
