Advantages: imaginative celtic rock. Disadvantages: dont expect the Gary Moore of the blues days.
...GaryMoore became best known for his blues period in the 1990s but we should remember that he has moved through a wide range of musical styles, all based in the rock format, but all with very distinct flavours. After learning his trade with Skid Row and a brief stint with the young Thin Lizzy, as well as recording as the GaryMoore Band, the guitarist spent a number of years in Jazz rock band ColosseumII. Following that solo albums and another stint with Thin Lizzy resulted in the now famous Black Rose album, and the single Parisiene Walkways. A long on off friendship with Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott comes to an end with Lynotts death in 1986, and this album was released the following year. The songs seem to take Moore back to his roots and is considered by many to be his best non-blues album, a flurry of which were to follow...

Advantages: Peter Greens skill is rediscovered in the form of Gary Moore Disadvantages: None
...perfect in my opinion.
Track 4. I Loved Another Woman From the album "Fleetwood Mac" This has a strong guitar riff the whole way through, GaryMoore cannot be faulted in the way he has presented all of these tracks
Track 5. I Need Your Love So Bad This song was originally sung by Christine Perfect form the group Chicken Shack, Christine was John McVie's wife and played piano too. It is played really well by GaryMoore giving a male slant to the song. One of my all time favourite slow blues songs.
Track 6. Same Way A strong song with a heavy base line that is complemented by Garys guitar and vocals with one of the best guitar solos I have heard for this type of song.
Track 7. Supernatural I feel that this song has a lot of GaryMoore style of guitar to it. Some notes are held in a similar fashion to "Parisienne...

Advantages: Straightforward rock Disadvantages: Nothing innovative
...After the severe disappointment of "A Different Beat" - Gary's latest album - I treated myself to this cut-price live offering just to restore my faith in the guitarist.

The title track (co-written with Mr. Paice) and "Wishing Well" are the only two not penned solely by Mooro. The rest include "Nuclear Attack", "Back On The Streets" and "I Can't Wait Until Tomorrow". All are excellent, reminding us of what GM music can be like.
And guess what? No "Parisienne Walkways". On a GaryMoore album? Shockeroonie....
