Watched this film way back in the 80's, Me and my friends used to watch this film at least once a week on VHS. Im just so glad for the internet and DVD's because i have just purchased this on DVD since i lost it years ago in a fire. One of the best films ive ever seen, ive even bought the soundtrack aswell. Diane lane (Ellen Aim)looks stunning in this and Michael Pare(Tom Cody) and Willem Dafoe(Raven)are just pure dead brilliant, they have the best fight ive ever seen, slegehammers and all. the effects in this film are great especially at the time it was made all those years ago. Advantages: Beautifully crafted album filled with tremendous songs Disadvantages: Campbell's ballads could be a stumbling point
to begin with and then really shining as the vocals start. Millan kicks it off "the night starts here, the night starts here/ forget your name, forget your fear" before Campbell joins in, over a shiny-sounding musical backdrop which grows to accommodate some guitars, then some drums, and then an electric guitar which judders statically across the back of the music. The song doesn't go anywhere particularly, but as an introduction to the album, it's superb - and sounds amazing at night, when you walk down the street and all the lights are switched on.
Cambell gets a few ballads halfway through the album, although "Barricade" is a little out-of-place on the record. It sounds a bit forced, although Campbell's voice works well in the context of the song. Much better is "The Ghost Of Geneva Heights", possibly his best song. It's a muted rock ...

the narrow corridors also had something of a hospital feel to them... The room was very hot and not very well decorated but being addicted tea and coffee drinkers, we felt a bit hopeless without a kettle. The decoration was minimal, the bed not particularly comfortable. So don't be fooled by the hotel's mega posh name 'Vendome'. The TV did not work very well but then I guess it it not an essential thing... Our bathroom was very small, not very clean and not very attractive, again it looked like the toilets you find in hospital rooms. The view out of the window was far from spectacular: an ugly concrete roof, not what you expect when you want to remind yourself that you are in a different country.
On the plus side though, the place was very quiet, great if you want to relax and have some privacy. The location was extremely convenient ...
