Advantages: Contemporary versions Disadvantages: A couple of poor versions
I am too young to remember the days of The Who. However i have been weaned and brought up on their musical talent. That i put down to my father, as he was a real mod. He was one of the hardcore that drove down in the convoys to Brighton on his Vespa. Ever seen the film Quadrophenia? You must! As my father owns EVERY Who album that was pressed in Vinyl, and i have them on CD, i have become accustomed to their music. I love it...they are genius! Infact ... ...'Tommy'.
I have seen them live (obviously without Keith Moon...may he R.I.P) & they are as superb as on their albums.
So this brings me onto the point of the newly released "Substitute: The Songs Of The Who". That it is a substitute, as the Who can't ever be replaced, but a good one at that. This is my review of the album.
