Atreyu are like, classic metal guitars with a heavier backing ... ...more.
My favourite songs are "Ain't Love Grand" and "Lip Gloss And Black".
All songs written by the lead singer, Alex Varkatzas, his vocal range is good, from growling/screaming the lyrics, and then also singing and showing more audible talent on the choruses, like in the song "At Least I know I'm Not A Sinner", he sings "my only solace is that one day judgement will come for he wicked".
I played it to my brother too, and he liked it immedietly, ...

Advantages: Good blend of music and singing, overall just excellent Disadvantages: not enough atreyu on one cd! :(
This is an excellent album. For those who don't like constant screaming/ shouting, atreyu are the band for you.
After buying this album, it was in my CD player for weeks and weeks, and is one of my all time favourites, the singing alone (minus the guitars, drums and bass) was enough to take me in.
It is a very well put together album, and every song is a work of art, the lyrics are well thought out and very origional.
The first thing to draw me ...

* The best of Atreyu
* and Lead sails paper anchor.
The band consists of:

Brandon Saller [drums/vocals]
Travis Miguel [guitar]

and Mark McKnight [bass]
The album
A death grip on yesterday is atreyu's 4th album, and even though it only contains 9 songs it is certainly worth buying and listening to, and is definitely in the running...

Advantages: Well written lyrics Disadvantages: Not as good as previous releases
...Most people believe this to be Atreyu's breakthrough into the mainstream. With the first single 'Right Side of The Bed' getting a lot of plays on music tv, the band instantly became popular because of this. However, I believe this to be one of the worst songs Atreyu have made. 'SuicideNotes And ButterflyKisses' is a much greater album, with a more all round appeal, whereas 'The Curse' contains a few hits, like 'Bleeding Mascara'. Also, their EP 'Fractures In The Facade of Your Porcelain Beauty' contains few songs, but all more impressive than some of 'The Curse''s. Since their first EP 'Visions', Atreyu have changed to become a more paletable band for most, and have recieved a lot of anger from some fans because of it.
This band make a great live act, but are not for the more hardcore kids out there. They are more of a transition...
