Summer 2009 has been a summer I will never forget.
That's an easy thing to say, but given the fantastic summers I've had since I started university in September 2005, it's something I really mean.
Take last summer for instance - I started out last summer living in Germany, with scorching temperatures every day. During the week I attended lectures and spent my days enjoying the sunshine in the garden or in town, at the weekend I visited other towns and cities, enjoying a nice fresh Bier, again, in glorious sunshine. I finished the summer in Paris, with my boyfriend. The previous summer I was preparing to move out to Paris, and the summer before that I embarked on a mini tour of Europe, with highlights including Paris, Reims, the Alsace region of France, the Black Forest, Pisa, Florence, Perpignan and the Pyrenese mountains.
