Advantages: Great mix of artists and well known tunes Disadvantages: Maybe needed more female artists, popular r'n'b stars
...2 Disc Set, with 40 tracks so you can't really go wrong here. It's kind of a mix of the old and the new love songs, but still some timeless tracks from artists like Mary Mary, Aliyah, 2Pac, Anita baker, Toni Braxton and others. The kinds of songs everyone knows. Some lovers tunes and some more faster paced. With Lemar, Wayne Wonder, Akon, Ashanti, Mya, India Arie, as well known young stars of now. But it would have been nice to have seen some younger and newer R'n'B stars that are playing in the clubs at the moment and also maybe a bigger selection of female vocalists like Khelis, Brandy, Ne-Yo, Omarion and others. Still the tracks are a good mix with tunes like My Boo, Usher and Alicia Keys, Satisfaction, Eve, Cry me a River, Justin Timberlake, Sweet Love, Anita Baker, On and On Eryka Badu and lots more....

Advantages: All the best R'n'B anthems from '04 & '05 Disadvantages: A little dated now
...This is an excellent round up of all the R'n'B smashes of 2004 and 2005 with a few nostalgic classics thrown in for good measure. It covers the slow jams, the dancefloor joints and everything in between from artists as diverse as Wayne Wonder, Lucy Pearl, Kelis and Usher.
CD2 also takes us back with classic gems from the likes of D'Angelo (whose 'Brown Sugar' pretty much defined and kick started the neo soul scene), Janet Jackson (with her undeniable classic 'That's The Way Love Goes') and Blackstreet (with club hit 'No Diggity' featuring Dr Dre)
This album is the perfect party album and although it avoids raritites, its sound understanding of R'n'B past and present make it a must have for any music lover....

Advantages: Brilliant new talent, potential to go a long way in the industry. Refreshing & Uplifting!!! Disadvantages: None yet
...When i first heard this album i was blown away and i've been listening to it ever since.
"Get Lifted" John Legend's debut album is an imaginative and outstanding fusion of funky hip-hop beats and old-school gospel with catchy little tunes which you'll be singing or humming everywhere you go.
This quite well experienced soul singer has appeared on Kayne West's album "College Dropout" in a few of the best tracks on that album. Kayne can spot raw talent and he's done a good job singing Legend on as he has definetely got a future going for him if he continues to produce refreshing and funky tunes that he has on "Get Lifted".
This multi talented singer/song writer has not gone unnoticed as major artists like Snoop Dogg feature on the album along with kayne his executive producer. Check out "Used to love you" and "i can change...
