Advantages: Wonderfully evocative and intriguing
Disadvantages: Not one!

...", "At the Chime of the City Clock", "Northern Sky" and "Poor Boy". The others are just as good though and it is an album you are more or less compelled to listen to all the way through - no need for a shuffle button here. Finally, the lyrics are simply exquisite little mood poems of obscure meaning. If only he had lived, I am convinced he would have produced much more music of similar stunning quality. Buy it.... ..."Northern Star" features Melanie Chisholm's three hit singles, "Going Down" which hit number four, "Northern Star" which also hit number four, and her current single featuring Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes from American group TLC, "Never Be The Same Again", which, after months of airplay, went straight in at number 1 recently, deservedly so, and is one of my favourites from the album. The style of music on the album is mainly rock/R 'n' B, and is quite a dramatic departure from the Spice Girls pop hits. Some of my favourite tracks are "Ga Ga", "Never Be The Same Again" and "Northern Star". Overall, an excellent album which certainly lives up to its name, as Mel C is most definitely a huge "Northern Star"!... Read review
