Swinger From Rio/Beat Brazil - Sergio Mendes

Advantages: Lively, original and " funky fresssh "...
Disadvantages: i wouldn't actually call it sergio mendez, due to the fact that, Will.i.am from the black eyed pea's features in over half of the songs !!!

...I bought this album for £9.99 from my local Tescos not acctually knowing what i was buying. at this momment in time, music is no longer music, its it is has just gotten to a stage where men sing about there sex lives with with live big asses, and woman sing about how there men leave them for women with better asses than themselves, but when an album as orginal as Sergio Mendez's you can't help but think, thank god there is acctually someone out there who cares and thinks about what he's singing about...when you listen to his music, you can just feel that he thinks long and hard about the words he's bringing across. Each track consists of very lively spanish percusion. Sergio mendez background Info. Sergio Mendez was acctually born adn raised in Brazil. Advantages: Excellent production for a live album, great atmosphere
Disadvantages: Tracks lose some polish.

...One day, in a South American country called Brazil, in a city called San Paolo, a metal legend turned up and kicked everyone's arse. This album is a record of that happy little tale in audio form. But is it any good. Well, some people like live albums, and some don't. The recording quality is never as good as a studio album, but I like them for the energy and feel of the live show. If you hate live albums in general, avoid. But otherwise, please read on. Basically this album consists largely of material from Chemical Wedding, but has a few songs from Accident of Birth and two from Balls to Picasso. This is actually a good mix, because all the songs are well chosen - Chemical Wedding is the best album ever, and the songs from the other albums are all the best songs from the respective albums. Advantages: lots of good songs
Disadvantages: its not jawbreaker

...I am not entirely sure why a picture of Santana is displaying for this review. JTB certainly do not sound like Santana! Much. So, JTB have got Blake from Jawbreaker in them. They've got the drummer from Texas Is The Reason in them. They recruited a guitarist from the Van Pelt. Stop it. Don't use any of the above as an excuse to buy this record. Use this as an excuse to buy this record: The albums a bit special. I kept changing my mind. One minute I'd love this thing, the next it'd be merely good. Right now I adore it, maybe one day I'll think it's just solid again. And OK, so the Jet's are just another indie rock band who are pushing the boundaries of originality about this far: - , but hey, they're a mighty fine mature indie rock band and they are doing exactly what they want to.
