It seems an evil baddie called Mal?akh has kidnapped Solomon and has given Langdon an invitation to save his friend from death by solving a puzzle to find the Masonic legend of the Lost Symbol.

Langdon, aided by Peter?s beautiful sister and scientist Katherine Solomon, race against the clock trying to solve puzzles, rushing from place to place, hindered by the police. Will the pair be able escape with their own lives as well as saving Peter Solomon?

The book is set in Washington DC and features the Free Masons right through including some of their rituals, habits and legends, although I doubt such a secret society would allow these rituals and secrets to be covered ...
Advantages: A good read Disadvantages: Part of the plot is not too convicing
and takes both of them to his hiding place. He tortures Robert in a breathable oxygenated water tank and leaves Katherine bleeding to death. Robert finally tells him the secret and he then takes Peter with him to unlock the Ancient Mysteries and to finish the final step of his enlightenment.
Just when you think that it?s the end of our hero, the CIA arrives at Malakh?s nest and rescue Robert and Katherine. They also manage to get to the scene before Malakh could kill Peter as a sacrifice to finish his master plan. This ends tragically for Malakh but Peter is saved.
And finally, in the last 20 pages or so, Peter, who understands it all, take Robert to place where the Ancient Mysteries is buried.
Personally, I have to admit the momentum of the story is quite slow to start up with and Dan has used a lot of flashback in this book such ...

album, and thinking of 'Load' and 'Re-load,' I think I may well have just pulled an 'Ah, well? so what,' face, with a slight shrug to go with it. But the bird in question (actually, it was my brother-in-law, and I think he would be quite mad to know that I referred to him as a bird, so I will drop that), said it was a return to the old stuff, allegedly.
I set sail for YouTube to check out the new single, 'The Day that Never comes,' and I was dumbstruck, awe-struck, thunderstruck? heck, all kinds of 'struck,' in fact! I fell in love with it immediately and thought if the rest of the new album was half as good I would be a very happy bunny. The day for the album's - 'Death Magnetic' - release did finally come and I purchased my copy in HMV for a lovely £9.99.
It took me a while to make up my mind about this album, though: I liked it, but ...
