trombone, especially when this particularly comically inclined musical instrument is being utilised in the ill-advised and incautious production of ska-punk. After all, one man's meat is another man's pork pie hat, and the world of high velocity, two-tone skanking has never once encouraged neutrality or fence sitting, you either love it or hate it. If you do find yourself to be irresistibly inclined to the sound of a honking horn, a syncopated trap and a projectile guitar chop then you could do a lot worse than avail yourself of Symbolic from stalwart Californian septet the Voodoo Glow Skulls. Curiously, it's not so much the music that irritates the ska genre's most vociferous detractors, it's the unerring jocularity that comes with it, but hey, there's no actual law against music being fun.
