Was Not a Take That Fan back in the day,i was probably about five or six. I Never really listened to any of Robbie's stuff after he left, again i was too young, and he personally repulsed me. As for Mark Owen, the song that he released after celebrity big brother,''Four Minute Warning'',i thought it was fab,hes quite hot.
Though now,its a decade later and everyones older and hairier. Take That’s audience have grown up and this is what they’re now listening to. Take That’s return begins with “Reach Out”, which has a piano and guitar intro .This song is a very well made pop ballad, with an upbeat chorus, worth singing along to.
The comeback single continues in much the same vein, although “Patience” is a slightly more down beat track, with a much slower tempo. It is, however, another well made pop ballad with a good chorus and a more mature feel to it. The title track sounds a little like “Reach Out” . However, “Beautiful World” is a more rounded track, still a pop track but this time more mid-tempo than a ballad and louder musically and vocally. It just isn’t quite as effective, though and just seems to be missing a certain something that would make it another great track.
“Hold On” starts with a guitar, mark owen obviously, nothing special really. We're back on more familiar ground with “Like I Never Loved You At All”, as once more you’re faced with a guitar led pop ballad. This song is a personal favourite of mine. It sounds more like their old stuff.
With the bass line and guitar, “Shine” is already a more interesting track before the vocals ever get going. Mark Owen takes the vocals again, but the song has a kind of Beatles influence and a certain showmanship that always makes me wonder if it was written when there was a chance Robbie Williams might rejoin the group.Though i hate Robbie. There’s a return to the ballads with “I’d Wait For Life”. Again, this is another piano led pop ballad that is beautifully performed and written, but a bit boring for me.
There’s a guitar intro to “Ain’t No Sense In Love” which marks this one out as being an improvement on the previous song and it’s got the entire group singing the chorus which gives it an almost Boyzone or Westlife feel. It’s a mid-tempo pop tune with a sing along chorus and it’s one of my favourites. “What You Believe In” sounds a little 60's. Mark sings lead.. I do like this song, although it’s quite different to most of the rest of the songs on the album.
“Mancunian Way” is one that became an acquired taste for me, as I didn’t like it the first few times I heard it, but i like it alot more the more i listen to it. as it’s got a really catchy chorus and the little girl’s voice at the end is very cute. This song is sung by Howard The bonus track, “Butterfly” is excellent, sounds quite, whats the word....romantic and its slow in tempo, very relaxing

Review of Take That - Beautiful World
Advantages: Great vocals, great lyrics and its so amazing to have them back! Disadvantages: There are quite a few ballads, which might not be your thing
Advantages: All of the tracks present shine through as excellent with a brilliant chorus always present. Disadvantages: Gary Barlow is given the lead vocals far too often.
