Advantages: Incredble voice Disadvantages: Song writing ability
...I only recently bought this album and was reminded that music used to be so much better. It has all the classics on - "What's going on?", "Let's get it on", etc, and also contains a lot of duets with the likes of Diana Ross, KimWeston ("It takestwo")etc. Marvin has an incredibly soft voice at times and at others he can blow just about anyone away. His sound isn't timeless and it would be true to say he lacks song writing genius, but who needs it with a voice like that. If you're going to buy a soul C.D, make it this one....

YOU AIN’T LIVIN’ TILL YOUR’RE LOVING (1968), GOOD LOVIN’ AIN’T EASY TO COME BY (1969), and AIN’T NO MOUTAIN HIGH ENOUGH all with Tammi Terrell,
YOU ARE EVERYTHING (1973) and STOP LOOK LISTEN TO YOUR HEART (1973), both with Diana Ross,
IT TAKESTWO (1966) with KimWeston.

WHAT’S GOING ON – the single (1971). His brother’s return from the Vietnam War inspired this song. He sings, “War is not the answer...
