Blink 182 are the rock group of the year for me. They have only produced real interest in England since about May 2001, yet they have been making asses of themselves in their crazy videos since 1998 in the USA. Their latest album, ‘Take off your pants and jacket’ is excellent. Here is my review of this album,

1) Anthem Part II, a good entrance song, good overall music in this song, a little ordinary, it is typical Blink 182, nothing special.

2) Online Songs is not anything out of the ordinary, good song, a bit drab.

3) First Date is brilliant, a truly excellent song, great lyrics, and brilliant beat, was released recently, a true piece of Blink 182’s brilliance.

4) Happy Holidays, You B*****d, is a weird song, pointless swearing, just 42 seconds long, but has a really brilliant example of the world’s best drummer.

5) Story Of A Lonely Guy, good song, very much faster than most of the group’s songs.

6) The Rock Show is among my top three Blink 182 song’s. A little worse than First Date, but you will soon find out the greatest ever Rock song!!!

7) Stay together for the kids, what can I say- it is absolute, sheer excellence, move over Fred Durst, make way KoRn, Slipknot stand back, Linkin Park, don’t move One Step Closer (poor joke I know), Blink 182 have purely rocked house! Makes ‘Last Resort’ seem like a Christmas carol.

8) Roller Coaster, odd start to the song, great upbeat lyrics, nice one!

9) Reckless Abandon, a great ‘persona’ to the song, has an actual theme. It is like a role being sung.

10) Every time I look for you, outstandingly great lyrics, background music a bit fast considering how much slower the lyrics are sung, good song though.

11) Give Me One Good Reason, unique song on the album but poor lyrics, this is a potential crowd pleaser.

12) Shut Up, pretty good, but I wont go over the top with superlatives, god instrumental use, a good listen.

13) Please take me home, a bad combination of fantastic lyrics and crappy music.

There are also some exclusive tracks on the album, like F**k a Dog, it’s just a good laugh, none of these songs stand out for brilliance, they stand out for utter ‘stupidness’ though!
