Advantages: Quick and very simple. Fruit can be varied. Disadvantages: Very fattening and not the cheapest desert to make.
My mate Carol’s staying with me at the moment. We go back a long way, me and Caz. Right back to when we were just a couple of spotty pre-pubescent starting out at Grammar School. Oops…protest from Carol who says we were never THAT spotty, but you get the gist.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, there we were sitting in the garden, enjoying a few bevvys and a packet of biscuits. Carol had found this scrummy looking waffle-type things called “Jules Destrooper Butter Crumbles”, but much to our disappointment, they didn’t live up to our expectations. Too dry and crumbly to eat alone, and not quite sweet enough for a biscuit. Oh well, sh*t happens and we were only a packet of biscuits out of pocket so no big deal really.
It wasn’t that they weren’t nice, you understand, they just weren’t made ...

I was recently invited to do a product test via a survey site and quite happily accepted when I discovered it was for the new Walls Magnum Chilled Desserts.
These brand new decadent desserts come in 4 flavours - Raspberry Tease, Chocolate Desire, Strawberry Secret and Caramel Encounter.
I opted for the Raspberry Tease.

Found in the chilled section of Tesco's, the reddy brown box looks very luxurious and classy. Its approx. 6" x 3" with a tiny swirl for a see through window. This might as well be non existent as you cannot see the product through this! So lets hope the pictures of this dessert shown on the box look the same as the contents.
One thing I did like was that each end of the box had been sealed with small transparent sticky tabs so ...
Advantages: Very bright illustrations and a good talking point. Disadvantages: None
PSE (Personal, Social and Emotional Development) is a huge part of Early Years teaching and this book fits perfectly in to that area of the curriculum.

This book is about two little monkeys: Mimi is a 'girl' monkey who has an older 'boy' cousin called Momo.
Momo is bigger than Mimi and constantly teases her, calling her names like copycat, Titchypoo, stupid, scaredy pants etc...
One day Momo asked Mimi to join him in his tree-house. Mimi was surprised at how kind her cousin was being, until.............he abandoned her up there, taking the ladders with him. He told Mimi that the Grizzly Grilla would come and get her.
Momo does numerous other things to Mimi all the while calling her names and scaring her at the thought of the Grizzly Grilla coming to get her.
So fed up by the constant teasing, Mimi ...
