Advantages: Excellent Movie Sountrack. Disadvantages: None!
memories of this movie and of the time it was released in the charts to me and I just love recalling it all. This track was released in 1985 and reached number 15 in the billboard charts. The music video to accompany this love song was taken from clips of the St Elmo's Fire movie also. This is an excellent track, that?s an all time favourite to me.
Overall Opinion Of St Elmo's Fire Soundtrack.
Well as you have probably gathered from reading this review, I really love this soundtrack a lot. I have had this original one for over twenty years. I first had it on cassette and then upgraded it to CD. It really looks a bit tatty on it, but that?s because it has been played a lot by me over the years, as I love it so much. This CD was one of the first movie soundtracks that really caught my attention because of the great meanings all the songs ...
This soundtrack taken from the Andrew Lloyd Webber production of Gaston Leroux's classic novel of the same title is completely filled with beautiful melodies and unforgettable lyrics.
The story of young the young chorus girl (Christine Daae) who becomes an opera star through the tutoring of the dark and troubled Phantom is told through music.
The Phantom, played by Gerard Butler, has a rich voice with an incredible range. Every note is sung with immense feeling. Emmy Rossum plays Christine Daae and her range is equally as impressive.
Tracks to listen out for especially are the famous 'Music of the Night' - Gerard's best performance, 'The Point of No Return' - the best lyrics and 'Masquerade' the immense complete cast performance of a great song. ...
is fantastic it sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. When you listen to it you are drawn into the world of opera, when you hear the Phantoms voice you are entranced, his love and determination for Christine to be the star has become his life, his obsession and also his downfall.
Raoul and Christine fall in love and when they sing together you can almost hear thier hearts beating and you feel the longing they have for each other.
The relationship between Christine and the Phantom is deep and in some ways sexual, Christine is a naive teenager who is touched but at the same time frightened by the Phantoms obsession.
There is drama, tragedy and touches of comedy, it really is an emotional mixture that makes you think you are there.
I never thought the originalsoundtrack could be bettered until I listened to this one ...
