It retails at approximately £4.99 and is available at most music stores. The CD has a playing time of 75 minutes. The CD comprises of a Suite and three concertos. A suite is a set of instrumental works intended to be performed together. The typical Baroque suite was a combination of dance movements. Telemann, however, played an important part in the development of the suite and its changing format to that of the classical period. In the suite presented on this CD, the movements are a mix of dance and chamber music. Advantages: True Baroque Classics and fun to play
Disadvantages: None really, apart from some can get difficult, but nevertheless enjoyable and problems are easy to overcome

...listening to these pieces, just imagine yourself playing them, its so amazing. You really need to try these pieces, whether that is listening to them or simply playing them. Some slow and elegant and others, fast and lively. They are a really amazing set of pieces which will astonish you like they did me and Telemann is now one of my favourite composers especailly of the baroque period- such as unique style and for SOLO violin. ...Henry Litolff is by no means a well known composer, which is a great shame as these two piano concertos from the Romantic era are definitely worth adding to any collection. If, like me, you enjoy listening to virtuosic piano skills then you will not be disappointed. Peter Donohoe puts on a polished performance, effortlessly racing up and down the piano to make this the best recording available. The Scherzo of the No. 4 is the best known movement and is the most virtuosic. If you enjoy piano concertos by Rachmaninov and Beethoven, give this a try.... Read review
