Temptation - Heaven 17

...The gothic band Within Temptation first formed in 1997 by Robert Westerholt and Sharon den Adel. The band are well known for there dramatic songs and amazing talent. The band has released their first album "Enter" as well as "Dance". But the bands first real success was with their album "Mother earth". Songs like Mother earth and Ice Queen were a hit. Mother earth had a more relaxed approach and a less experimental view on it however this is not compared to their new album, The Silent Force. The album was released in November 2004 and songs like, Stand my ground, Angels, and Memories have already been released. All of the released songs have been getting a lot of positive feedback as well as the increase of adoring fans. ...When the orignal version of The Human League split in 1980,Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware went on to form BEF(British Electric Foundation),which later became the glorious Heaven 17 with Glenn Gregory on the distinctive vocals. This was thier first full blown Heaven 17 body of work and what a fine slice of early 80's Techno-Funk it is.This reissued version also features the early non album track single I'm Your Money with the B side Are Everything and also 2 rare BEF recordings,Decline Of The West and Homeymoon In New York. The "Pavement " side of the album begins with the uptempo funky (We Don't Need This)Fascist Groove Thang.A great introduction to the album,funky guitars and sax with thought provoking lyrics. Advantages: Horrific, Great Story, One Of The Best Theme Albums Ever Made

...His is one of Alice best Solo works. Last Temptation is a theme album based around the story of faust. It even spawned 3 DC Marvel comic books portraying the story of Stephen and the evil Ringmaster. Stephen is tempted by the Ringmasters offer but does he know the high price he will pay in the end ? 1. Sideshow (This song depicts the Ringmaster touting for business, it is probably the weakest song on the album but is still good and fits in well) 2. Nothings Free (This is one of the Faust elements, a great powerful rock song) 3. Lost In America (Slash appears on lead guitar on this one, its a true depection of growing up in America, some great riffs, great single release) 4. Bad Place Alone (Great riffs and lyrics) 5.
