Ten Thousand Fists is the newest and also the best Disturbed album released, David Draiman and his boys have really out done theirselves with an album that will be played through many times until the disk wears out.
Starting off with album named track Ten Thousand Fists, this track was on its own one of the most remembered songs off of this album because of its slight chant and heavy beat from the startand doesnt lose the heaviness until the end of the song.
Secondly Just Stop is a track with an alternate style to most of the other songs on the album but equally meaningful and heavy.
Next up is Guarded which i do not have to much to say about this track as i did not find it too pleasing, but one good thing i can say about it is that Draimans Vocals implemented the lyrics perfectly.
Deify starts off with a spoken conference style intro with what i can make out to be about George W Bushi also beleive that this whole track is about how Bush had led the US soldiers out to war and deified them by getting most of them killed im sorry if this is not the correct meanign to the song but it is what i made the song out to be about.
Stricken is another of the tracks that sticks in my mind with its heavy guitar and drum patterns and the lyrics creating a slightly demented image of some of the bad in this world.
There isn't much to say about I'm Alive as it is one of the song i didnt really find to hit me like many of the other tracks on this album the only thing i really found interested was the chorus lyrics "The thing I treasure most in life, cannot be taken away." and from what it seems from the rest of the track it means that he has noticed a uniqueness and is willing to fight to keep it and that he will live while he is alive and wont let anyone stop him from reachign the end of his path.
Sons of Plunder is basically about how many people are trying to get famous in the united states and most of them are forming bands without any proper aspects other than getting rich basically how the pop genre is forseen.
Overburdened seems to be a song that follows the theme of the album which seems to be the iraq war and this song is basically one that says one soldier dies in battle we will send another to fill its place.
Decadence is basically about someone who has neglected themselves all there lives. and it effects everyone around them, and nobodys there to listen when they finally decide to open up as use of the lyrics "if i scare you now, don't run from me, ive been hiding my pain, you see?"
Forgiven is a track that had made me think quite hard about its meaning and i still was un able to find it out but this track has quite an immense guitar solo in it and i hope u will be able to dive into this track and find the meaning.
Land of Confusion is a cover of Genesis' "Land Of Confusion" from the CD "Invisible Touch" Disturbed have really taken this song and made it thier own and with Davids exellent vocals you can sense the anger in his mind about the background of this track.
Sacred Lie is oen of the heavy song on this album with good lyrics and vocals to go with it i particulally liked this track because i beleived it to be about how the war wasnt going to end for quite a while and with the lyrics " dont you know the war is far from over now" it kind of proves my point.
PAin Redefined sounds like someone who has been left suddenly, by someone he loved in very much, without knowing what went wrong "all my hopes and dreams are drowned by confusion" and it was a pain he never felt before "pain redefined" and hes trying to get over it by lying to himself.
Avarice is the last song on this album and to tell you the truth it is quite a deep song that i beleive is about the world becoming more and more evil and dark and the name of the song Avarice is noted as one of the seven deadly sins to catholics this song has quite a good instumental to it it is a shame it isnt very long though but still a great song.
Advantages: Deep lyrics, ferocious catchy riffs, fantastic melodies Disadvantages: Perhaps a little too heavy for some
Disturbed is a quartet consisting of David Draiman who is the singer and song writer, Mike Wengren who plays drums, Dan Donegar who is the guitarist and Johh Moyer who is the bass guitarist and backup vocalist. Formed in 1996 they have been enthralling or of course irritating listeners (depending on your tastes) ever since. Well the album doesn't simply live up to my expectations, it smashes those expectations of mine. The first thing to note about ... ...to his vocals, while the vocals on the former album were slightly soft at times, this albums for his voice to have a much greater impact upon the music and allows him to compliment the music perfectly. This album also takes the somewhat daring journey into politics to and in light of the anti Bush sentiment which has spread across America as his tenure neared an ending, this isn't too surprising. The themes of the album, deal with unity, strength ...

...date and global pollution.
Ten thousand fists is disturbeds new album with their new and exciting guitar riffs that leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more and more each and every new track and isn't one of those albums with the one good song and the rest are totally rubbish such as other albums currently out on the market now.
Vocals provided by David Draiman are powerful and are only matched by the provocative lyrics he sings. This band ... ...like Phil Collins!!
Some of the songs on this album are Ten Thousand Fists, Guarded, Defy, Stricken, Land of Confusion.
The songs on this album consist of killer lyrics awesome guitar intros and solos and some double bass pedal action for all those heavy metal lovers out there. ...

Advantages: brillaint sound, a combination of the two previous Disadvantages: has been given bad credibility by people.
Well this is my first review so if its patchy dont tell me so, ill get the hang of things from my own experience and not anybody elses.
Disturbed are a metal type band (no debates on the labelling please it seems people class all sorts as different these days) and have released three albums now this being the latest.
I bought this album not long after it came out.... afew months ago? I listened to it alot since then and i have afew things i can ... ...generally felt that this album was a combination of both the first album sickness (which was a great success) and believe (which didnt appear to be as big as sickness but was highly rated in many peoples opinion). I thought it was a good touch to have... it had the raw edge and aggressive tone from which the first album built on and the more poetic and intelligent riffs from believe. When you here the first one you think its great but its missing ...

Advantages: Excellent Album Disadvantages: Could not find any
Disturbed's album titled 10,000 Fists is an Absolutely Brilliant Album. I was wary at first but after the first play through, absolutely loved the album.
This was my very first experience of Disturbed and I loved it.
The album is totally Children friendly. (My 11 year old daughter loves it too. I have to rescue it out of her room many a time.)
The CD has great tracks on it that are easy to rock out to, leading you to sing at the top of your voice, ...

Advantages: Excellent Lyrics/riffs, good longevity. Disadvantages: In some cases an acquired taste.
I have to disagree with some of the negative reviews that this album/band have got so far. I personnaly own all three of disturbeds albums in special edition versions and i have to say they are superb. Although the lyrics and riffs may seem humdrum for those inexperienced in the metal genre i assure you that they stand above the rest with thier rough edged, melodious sound and excellent compatibility with the lyrics. The album like most has one or two tracks that are average and are better suited for background music but overall each track has a distinct sound and feel to it. In my opinion Track No. 5 'stricken is a clear sincher for this album if you are undecided then go to the bands website and listen to the track on thier intergrated player, then make your desicion as is sets the bands style out very distinctly and is thier most ...
This is the 3rd album for the nu-metal group, Disturbed. This Spicial edition also comes with an art book by Todd Macfarlane showing off his cover art. The album as a whole is very typical of nu-metal at the moment, lots drop D (for those who don't play guitar that a type of tuning) open string chords with streaming. Nothing really seperates this band from every other and I definatly in my eye just one of the croud. The lyrics are the only saving grace for this band. The lyrics are all about freedom and self-expression but if only the were put of some slitly more origional riffs. Over all I'm so glade I borrowed this album of someone and didn't buy it myself. Please rate and leave a comment, Bobster ...

Album Notes
Disturbed: David Draiman (vocals); Dan Donegan (guitars, keyboards); Mike Wengren (drums). Additional personnel: John Moyer (bass guitar). Five years after Disturbed's crushing debut, the Chicago nu-metal stalwarts offer their third full-length, TEN THOUSAND FISTS. Reunited with long-time producer Johnny K and new bassist John Moyer (Union Underground), Disturbed's return boasts a revitalized edge. TEN THOUSAND FISTS carries the metallic fire of THE SICKNESS, perfectly balanced with the melodic sensibility of 2002's BELIEVE. From the mosh pit-inspiring title track to the provocative and socially conscious lyrics of tracks such as "Deify" and "Sacred Lie," it is abundantly clear that Disturbed has further evolved their brutal-yet-refined approach. TEN THOUSAND FISTS also features striking booklet artwork by comic book legend Todd McFarlane.
