ok theese dudes are like the best ever (yes i sound like a teenage girl in total and utter love lol thats cause i am) i found out about them whilst once watching scuzz (a music channel that thinks it plays metal music) anyway deathstars where suprisenly on there cause normally scuzz play alot of mainstream bands and deathstars are far from mainstream. anyway i later cheked them out and found that they where really really good. there music had a great sound to it.
WHAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE BAND: Deathstars is an industrial metal band formed in Sweden. The band were known as Swordmaster but later on formend a new name including different members. The current lineup consists primarily of members from Swordmaster, but also has former members of Dissection and Ophthalamia.
The bandS Members are: Whiplasher (vocals), Nightmare Industries (guitar, keyboard), Bone w machine (drums), Skinny Disco (bass, backing vocals) who joined the group in 2003 I think, Cat Casino (guitar) who joined the group in 2006 and the former member Beast X Electric Halvorsen (Guitar)
For the hard rocking, indusrial metal lovers The album terminational bliss from the deathglam rockers Deathstars is the album for you. Uber-gothic vocals and atmospherics collide spectacularly with beautiful, heart-wrenching choruses in this majestic cyber-metal masterpiece. It's dark, It's cruel It's wicked yet full of enrgy and fire. It's a mighty musical highway that goes Black-and Death Metal, Electro, Goth, Synth and Rock and end up being Industral.
"Termiantion bliss" was realised in 2006 after there 1st album Synthetic generation which included the single "syndrome" and "Synthetic generation". Termination bliss currently has 2 singles out one being cyiade which came out in 2005 and the other blitzkreig which came out in 2006.
my love for the band: in april 2007 i saw them live at newcastle academy 2 and i must say it was the best night of my life (so far) i mean it was so great. the day started out ok i got in line about 3pm (show didnt start till 7pm but i wanted to be at the front) after waiting 7 hours doors opened and we were stood about an hour and hour and a half waiting for the suport band which was mortiis they were great live. really good preformaces live. anyway then about 9.30 some slow music came on and on came the band and well lets just say i was in a well ummm in a funny state. i cried my eyes out cause i was so happy lol. the preformaces was the best ever. and im not just saying that cause they are my fav band i truley mean it. after i went to meet the band and i saw every member apart from nightmare :( but still i got to see the other 4. whiplasher was totaly hilarous but a little big headed, cat was mental saying he was a witch and couldnt be seen in the mirror (i think he ment vampire lol) skinny was so nice and sweet and was easy to talk to, he wasnt big headed at all and so was bone, he was like really really nice. he even came out of the tour van to talk to me and a few others even though he was blantely tired and not up for it but still he was nice and poilite not big headed at all. (there werent many people there) nayway they were nice apart from nightmare whom i didnt get to meet but maybe next time.
anyway the songs from there album termination bliss:
Tongues: Starting of with a synthiniser and then after a few seconds hearing the crash of the drumms by Bone w machine just pownds through out your body whist feeling incrediable with the synithinsier still going leading sraght to whiplasher deep husky voice.
Blitzkrieg: It's slow, soft and relaxing…well for a few seconds at the beginning with violins and then once again Bone w machine slams down on his drums realising an unfriendly yet addicting feeling. Blitzkrieg was also brought out as one of their singles and the video to it is amazing. There are planes dropping bombs there are flashes of lighting the guitar and base playing is immanence
Mother zone Synthesizers are starting, calm and slow then out comes the of drums and guitar streaming through when whiplashes starts to sing your blood runs cold ,your left feeling helpless and in total darkness, his voice is cruel and heart wrenching the beat is on going from the drums.
Cyanide Be prepared be careful and don't let young kids watch the video for cyanide it's all about death and fear the beat the bad the guitar all going at once its catchy but dreadfully depressive with quotes like "This is the blade that will visit your flesh and realise the wine" or "now drink the cyanide " explains it all.
Greatest Fight on Earth The beginning of this song is beautiful the music on the synthesizer is outstanding then Whiplashes starts signing with just the synthesizer and its very creepy until the bass, the guitar and drums start then you know what your in for. Endless disaster.
Play God The beginning starts lovely lifting right into whiplashes whimpering "I wanna play god with you I wanna rule it all rule you" then the drums crash going straight into the song and it's about ruling over everything. It's a song of disperse how they will rule you and do what they want to you.
Trinity Fields This song is probably one of my favourite starts of a song the beginning is so intense powerful it has so many mixed emotions the music runs straight through your blood you almost so you feel tears appearing for no reason its like there is no hope everything is gone and all this just from the music of curse once whiplashes starts singing and you know there is no hope and everything is gone.
The Last Ammunition Awesome lyrics the beat runs through, it's all about the end and how you should just shot that gun. Whiplashes voice beams and although nothing is happing to you really feel like he is talking to you very depressive but a great song
Virtue To Vice Truly a great song the music is ok in but the lyrics and the meaning are amazing its about a someone that has committed crime and needs to be kept a secret and no one can find it out but someone already has so they need to make sure this person doesn't tell any one. I love the way how whiplashes changes in from low the husky then deep is ecstatic
Termination Bliss Depending on what version you listening the song various there is the original which is like any other normal Death stars song but there is the piano version which is truly a great song there is violins and the piano playing in it and its almost as if this song would be played at a funeral it's so sad and emotional truly great though with lyrics like "She wears her crown On a head that's bowed deep down A dying picture of lies A tortured saint fed to the flies" it takes a true genies to write such great lyrics
and thats it thanks for reading, i would recocmend this band if you like GOOD MUSIC lol only joking. but really a really good album.
Advantages: Very catchy one-liners and grate Bass rifts Disadvantages: The last track 'Blitzkreig (Driven On Remix)' is so out of place on the album.
...very gothic, then I saw Termination Bliss by the Deathstars, I had never heard of them before but they looked so dam cool, I wanted to know so badly what they where like so I bought the Album... ...I put the album on as soon as I got home... And straight away I knew I had a new favourite band. In my opinion they have a very unique style in music, the only bands that come close to sounding like them are Rammstein with there Bass rifts, and I'm a huge ...

Following up from their last album, %u2018Synthetic Generation,%u2019 these Swedish Goth- Metallers have emerged from somewhere deep underground to bring us this mix of dark lyrics and stomping beats, guaranteed to make your stereo rattle. As tracks such as %u2018Cyanide,%u2019 and latest release %u2018Blitzkrieg%u2019 thunder through your veins, it makes it increasingly difficult to turn Off. Termination Bliss is definitely one to add to your CD collection

Advantages: By the greatest band off all time! Disadvantages: The Making of the 3 videos
...Ok so as some of you who have read my previous reviews are probably aware that I have an obsession with a band called "Deathstars". In MY own opinion they are the best band in the world, with their industrial sound, their gothic look and their outrages attitudes I mean come on every girl likes a bad boy! So anyway I was in the Metro Centre the other day with my mum and we had a look in HMV and there I saw it; "Terminationbliss Extended" the cover being the 5 members of the band. Whiplasher Bernadette reaching out his hand as if he was about to take of you, next Bone W Machine just tilting his head with a certain look on his face, after, in the middle their was Nightmare Industries just staring right into the camera with confidence as the picture was being taken, second from last on the cover was the mad and outrages Cat Casino (who...

Advantages: A fine work by the Deathstars Disadvantages: Perhaps a little formulaic
...Deathstars are a Swedish five-piece metal band. Apparently they are of the "industrial metal" sub-genre, but I would definitely say that they are up the "pop" end of industrial music. That's how I feel about their albums so far, anyway-- I only got this new one yesterday and this is is my first formal listen-through. So I may be surprised. But up to this point, I'd be tempted to call their music something like "glam-pop-industrial".
The band's members are:
Whiplasher Bernadotte - vocals
Cat Casino - guitar
Nightmare Industries - guitars and keyboards
Skinny Disco - bass and backing vocals
Bone W. Machine - drums
This is the band's third album, following on from Synthetic Generation (2003) and TerminationBliss (2006). Both of which were excellent.
Deathstars have a distinctive and consistent style and sound. They create strong...
