"No Limit Top Dogg" is the fourth album by the West Coast rapper, SnoopDogg. This one is his second to be released whilst signed to Master P's record label, No Limit. This is where the idea for the album's title comes from as he heads this group, which also had Mystikal, C-Murder and Sillk the Shocker signed up too. These all make appearances through this release at some point, just as on "Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told".

On this one, Tha Top Dogg collaborates with Onyx's Sticky Fingaz, they perform on a bassy, laid-back tune which gets you swaying, and once the lyrics come into effect, this just continues the the way the music has influence on how you are forced to physically react. It is a strong way to get things started on this, his fourth solo album ...
Advantages: Strong throughout Disadvantages: Underrated
of so many acts of a certain kind out there. The funky backing if misleading, but they certainly get their point across.

Here is one of only two tracks produced by DJ Poh, an just as before, you here where the past influences of the funk group Zapp come in as you get some vocoder work during this one. SnoopDoggyDogg kicks things off with the first verse on this one as he brigns his laid-back, yet excitng rhymes to get you ready for the type of thing which Kurut the Kingpin and Daz Dilligner are going to follow it up with.

The quality just doesn't stop here as Daz provides even more of his amazing beats, which are just typical of the West Coast scene at this point in time. He makes the perfect prduction for his type of rap as he barks out his ruthless rhymes about ...

The debut album from Tha Eastsidaz came as ?SnoopDogg presents Tha Eastsidaz? was released in 2000. It has Tha Top Dogg taking it back to the West Coast, following a stint in the Dirty South whilst working on the No Limit label; here he shows that he hasn?t forgotten what he is about as he acts as the unofficial leader to a group also consisting of fellow Long Beach (California) rappers Tray Deee and Goldie Loc.

To kick things off, we have them on a track which has them going for some retro G-Funk, and Snoop makes sure we recognise this by doing a flow from 1992 on ?Nuttin? But A ?G? Thang? before the rest get a chance to rap on top of some hardcore, Gangsta beats for the streets. It is just what you want to hear to welcome you into the record.
