The other day my sister decided to pay me a visit and brought along a copy of Jamelia's thank you . To begin with i was a bit dubious as i'm a big fan of rock and heavy metal but also enjoy a few other genres. To be perfectly honest i started to tease her about her musical choice but was soon appologising when i finally put it in my cd player.
Now i have already said that this is not my usual style of music to listen to and was pleasantly surprised when Jamelia's angelic voice enterd my ears. A couple of the tracks wernt to my taste but the rest were quite good B.I.T.C.H. was the main culprit closely followed by club hoppin wich i just couldent get on with not offensive but annoying. My favorates had to be thank you and superstar basicly because i have heard them on the radio and was familiar with the two songs
I would just like to tell you abot a few of the other songs on the album wich i thought were worh a mention
Cutie-----. Good vocaly and lyricly with a bouncy interesting tune
Bout------. good vocals yet again and lyrics to match with an upbeat happy tune wich prompted me to start dancing much to the disgust of my sister
Superstar-----.Good vocals but i thought it lacked a little in the lyrics department and a very comercial feel about it.
Thank you-----. vocals on this track are excelant the lyrics are also good and a good tune you can hum along to.
Dirty dirty------. the vocals on this one are ok and the lyrics are good.and i thought the tune was quite uplifting and clever.
Bounce------ vocals quite good on this one but the lyrics were lacking somthing and i found that the tune was a bit samey as some of the other tracks.
Basicly if you ae a teenager and you liked some of her other records yo will love this and i think it would become an integral part of your collection But this is only my opinion and maby you shold judge for yourself thanks for reading my opinion
