Exhilarating Elgar documentary

Advantages: A Ken Russell classic not to be missed
Disadvantages: None, unless you are expecting a Ken Russell "shocker"

the team - thus establishing Russell as an innovative film maker. Russell put forward the idea of making an almost hour long documentary on the renowned British composer Edward Elgar (1857-1934) in order to celebrate the 100th edition of "Monitor". Naturally it was an ambitious project, not least in that unlike today's no holds barred documentaries, Russell had to adhere to some pretty strict rules imposed by Wheldon and the BBC. The most restrictive was that there was a ban on the dramatisation of the lives of real people at that time on the BBC. So Russell was forced to accept a compromise: the main characters would be portrayed by actors, but they wouldn't speak and would mainly appear in long-shot. To many producers this might have fatally restricted their creativity, but to Russell it was to prove the opposite. At the time ...

Mr Bean - Vol. 2 DVD

Advantages: Hilarious comedy, good viewing
Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive to buy whole set individually

Another installement to my DVD collection - the epic and classic comedy hero - Mr Bean. I love Rowan Atkinson, especially in Black Adder and also in the classic Mr Bean episodes. Despite my mood before hand, after watching Mr Bean I always feel much better, he always manages to intrigue my imagination with his biazarre mannerisms and abilty to turn the most straight forward of tasks into complete disaters! Having not being able to buy the whollebox set I have had to purchase and review each DVD volume one by one. This DVD contains 3 episodes, each with 3 or 4 sketches in them. All of whihc are brilliant and this DVD includes one of my favourites - the one where he goes to the swimming pool and clings to the diving board. The three episodes are entitled: Episode 1. 'The Curse Of Mr Bean', Episode 2. 'Mr Bean Goes To Town ...

Oral Fixation Vol II

Advantages: Good composition in lyrics
Disadvantages: Shakira's voice

and the Time). On this album has the featuring of Carlos Santana and Gustavo Cerati ( a principal guitarist of Eighties Argentinian Rock Group Soda Stereo). This album aren't sounded so much in Lima's radios than "Fijacion Oral Vol II" on my own, perhaps the foreign language and the same music style as Fijacion Oral. This album contains this song: 1-How do you do 2-Don't Bother 3-Illrgal 4-The day and the time 5-Animal City 6-Dreams for plans 7-Hey you 8- Your embarace 9- Costume makes the crown 10 Something (It is not the Beatles' song) 11-Timor ---------- This album has another reedit where she add another song " Hips don't like" that was recorded in English and Spanish that probably are the best song of this redit album with diffrent version in Latin America, anther for Europe, another to Spain an UK and another to Japan ...
