The new Freddie Mercury Solo Collection was released this week and to my surpise it is affordable!! You can pick up a 3 CD (yes that's 3 Cds) for just £17.99 - a bargain I am sure you will agree! There is of course the more expensove de-lux version costing £120.00 but for any fan (not serious collectors) the 3 cd choice is ample. If you are familiar with Freddie's sole work then you will recognise all tracks in the package but for the first time, in my expereice, you can own the wonderful "Larry Lurex - I Can Hear Music" track which Freddie did for a joke just before Queen hit the big time! And, of course there is the Mr Bad Guy album , the original of which is getting rarer and rarer - I recently sold a Mint US vinyl copy for £50.00!! So it is a real joy to have a 2000 digitally remastered version - if you are looking for an original version of the Cd watch out now that there are 2000 versions on sale!!
Overall, however the package, which also includes the Barcelona album is a bargain and an exceptionally good one at that! Watch out for the video! The only fault I can find with this item is the rustic brown design for the cover - it's dire!!
