The World's Greatest Mozart Album - The World's Greatest Mozart Album -
Discover why Mozart is the world's most popular composer in this glorious selection of ... more
highlights on two discs, performed by some of the
foremost interpreters of his music. Almost every
genre is represented, so if you are only familiar
with one area of the great Wolfgang's output, this
is an ideal way to explore others. Highlights from
the operas include sopranos Renée Fleming and
Anne Sofie von Otter poignantly sighing through
the farewell trio from Cosí fan tutte, Bryn
Terfel singing Don Giovanni's charming, chilling
serenade, and Sumi Jo shattering glass in the
Queen of the Night's aria from The Magic Flute.
Other great moments include legendary horn-player
Barry Tuckwell in the finale from the fourth horn
concerto, King's College Choir singing a ghostly
Ave Verum, and revered Mozartian Radu Lupu playing
the slow movement of Piano Concerto no. 21
("Elvira Madigan"). Obviously with recordings from
so many different times and places, the acoustics
and recording levels vary between tracks so a
little ear-adjustment is necessary: but quibbles
aside, this is a generous compilation of some
great playing and singing. --Warwick Thompson

What an album!
Review of Greatest Hits Vol.1 - Queen by BD

Advantages: Classic after classic, and a genuine greatest hits album
Disadvantages: none

...This album is classic songs followd by even more classic songs. Who can argue with the line up. Bohemian Rhapsody, Dont Stop Me Now, Fat Bottomed Girls, We Will Rock You, Flash, Another One Bites the Dust, Play the Game just to name a few. Normally Greatest Hit albums are made up of some of the artists greatest hits, and the rest are saved for a Greatest Hits 2 album. But even though Queen have 3 greates hits albums, this one is by far the best. All their true greatest hits are in there. There might be only 2 or 3 songs on the whole album that even a non-queen fan might not know, the rest are fan favourites.... Read review

A Fitting End
Review of Greatest Hits III - Queen by DaGeeza

Advantages: Classic songs
Disadvantages: None

...Greatest Hits III brings the trilogy of Greatest Hits albums to an end. It was long awaited, but it was definitely worth the wait. This is the first album to be produced by the group after the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury. Some of the songs on the album are from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, so it includes songs with George Michael and David Bowie. It is definitely worth buying, if not only to just complete the trilogy. It is another classic by one of the most successful groups of all time and a fitting end to a great legacy.... Read review

classic album
Review of Home Base - DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince by grrboygrr

Advantages: original jazzy beats with fresh rhymes laid down ontop
Disadvantages: some tracks are not very good

...good album with the classic hit summertime, worth buying the sort of album that you will keep comming back to but because there is only a few hits on the album it would be a better idea to buy will smith greatest hits this includes all of the classics and is a much better buy that is definitly worth the money.this is a great album for people that like clean lirics as there is no swearing and the album has a very mellow tone that does not reflect all of the gangster music of the time and so perfect for a child that likes rap. if you like music and are to tight to pay for this album it is widly avalible on torrents in conclusion a good album...
