Austrian equivalent of The Last Night of The Proms Review of Vienna 2001 New Year's Concert by Morgenhund Advantages: Great sampler, excellent recording. Disadvantages: Not quite as memorable as being there in person. ...The Vienna New Year's Concert is a tradition somewhat akin to the "Last Night of the Proms" apart from the fact that obviously it is Austrian music that is played, and there is not the same atmosphere. The concert has happened annually since 1939, although originally it used to take place on New Year's Eve rather than New Year's Day, because a poor attendance was feared, after the traditional Austrian "Silvester" revelry. One other difference is that the New Year's Concert is even more exclusive than the Last Night of the Proms, as you have to apply for tickets two years in advance, and they are exceptionally pricey. Indeed applications for the 2003 concert closed on 2nd January this year. It is an event to be seen at, and is also a musical highlight of the Vienna music scene. A brilliant soundtrack Review of Grease - Original Soundtrack by sophie5914 Advantages: 23 brilliant songs! Disadvantages: 2 boring, instrumental songs ...This is a brilliant soundtrack! It features almost every song from the movie, 25 in total! The first song is Grease, sung by Frankie Valli. Next come the ones sung by the cast - Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, You’re the One That I Want, Sandy, Beauty School Drop-Out, Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee and Greased Lighnin’. Each one is performed brilliantly by John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and the rest of the cast, and they’re all so catchy you’ll never be able to get them out of your head! go grease lightning Review of Grease - Original Soundtrack by angels21 Advantages: great songs Disadvantages: none ...when she notices sandy there but stil has the little beats at the end. greased lightning - sung by Danny along with the rest of the tee birds. They brag about how great their car is goung to be and how cool it will look. a fast song, great bouncy tune , half way through there is a clapping sequence to the beat of the music and who can forget about the dance that we all automatically do to it. Its raining on prom night - this is in the stage version. Sung by Sandy when everyone else is at the prom. She doesnt go as Danny goes with cha cha. A ballad about how sad she is that she doesnt go. The next few are all songs that are played at the prom for them to dance to. A mixture of ballads and real rock and roll type music to get everyone up dancing.They are blue moon, rock n roll is here to stay, those magic changes, hound dog, born to hand...
