Advantages: Heroic fifth. Mysrterious sixth.

...Jean Sibelius is striking for his originality and his innovative use of tonal colour in his orchestral compositions. The conductor of this recording of Symphonies Nos 5 & 6, Sir Colin Davies once said, “Nothing else sounds like Sibelius”. The music is indeed unique and distinctive. Jean Christian Sibelius, Finland's greatest composer, was born in 1865 and is best known for his seven symphonies that he wrote between 1899 and 1924. Sibelius felt that music should be pure music and that every note within the music given importance. Sibelius once commented that, “A symphony should be music first and last." His Symphonies, number 5 and 6, recorded on this CD are just that. The two symphonies contrast and compliment each other to produce a magnificence. ...Wyclef Jean “The Ecleftic - 2 Sides II A Book” Columbia After falling in love with a masterly piece of R&B called “911”, my girlfriend told me that she must buy the song, despite not knowing the artists. So being a top guy like I am (and knowing how to bank loads of browny points) off I went to my local CD shop and invested in Wyclef Jean’s “The Ecleftic - 2 Sides II A Book” on the strength of one song. With that sort of ‘look what I’ve done for you darling” smugness on my face I played the tune on my Kenwood and instantly went up a couple of levels in her good book. (Pathetic I know, but it worked). I then played the whole CD and sat astonished at what I was listening to. A piece of musical brilliance. Whether you are a hip-hop fan or not, if you admire good music and pure talent you will appreciate this offering from... Read review

Clef and his Great Hits
Review of Greatest Hits - Wyclef Jean by  XICripZ

Advantages: Lots of vaiety, great remixes and re-fixes
Disadvantages: Some bad tracks

...) **Two Stars** This is a cover of a legendary track from Cuba, "Guantanamera", most will probably know that version and I don't believe this competes well against the original. 7. Hey Girl (Feat. Ayesha And Papa Don) **Four Stars** This is a typical example of Wyclef's work, funky tune with lyrics and backing music which anyone can get into. 8. It Doesn't Matter (Feat.The Rock & Melky Sedeck) **Five Stars** This is the track which caught my attention and attracted me to Clef, because I loved wrestling and obviously to have the biggest star of the time appear along with Jean how could I hate it. Now I actuallyy listen to the song, without just thinking it must be good because The Rock's in it, I can here that it is a great club track that makes you nod your head. 9.
