...playing as I type!) Written much earlier than the Cello Concerto, in 1899, the Sea Pictures are scored for full orchestra and alto voice, in this case, Dame Janet Baker. There are 5 pieces, all of which summon up the sea quite effectively, while maintaining Elgar’s distinctive ‘English’ sound. 1. Sea-Slumber song. The first song in the set is lilting and low, and Janet Baker’s bell-like like alto voice is gentle and passionate, well-balanced at both ends of the spectrum. All the songs are in English and the CD booklet provides the words, so you could have a go a singing along yourself. But you’ll sound pants- Baker makes it sound easy, but of course it isn’t. 2. ...Janet's music is fantastic, she is one of the best pop/R&B artists there is and the album Janet was groundbreaking and also was a huge sucess. She blended her R&B with pop so well in this album and produced a very long very enjoyable album. Love part 2 is one of my favouite songs, the general theme of this album is actually love and many of the songs talk about love, the album is fantastic, any R&B fan and pop fan should have a copy of this album at home. Back and if are 2 of Janet's greatest tracks, also the cover for this album is great, Janet is the best female artist.... Read review

...Janet Jackson's style and songs just gets better and better. I don't usually buy remix albums but I gave this a try and I am glad I did now, this is a fantastic album which I absoluely love. Where are you now is a fantastic track and Janet's lyrics are refreshingly original and thought provoking, she is a multi talented artist whose music is a joy to listen to. What'll I do is a classic and these remixes make them sound like new songs, this is a long album, when Janet releases material, it is always quality music and this is no exception, any Janet Jackson fan should buy this....
