ChichesterCathedral is a Christian church built over 900 years ago in the city of Chichester in Sussex. It has had a mixed history and been rebuilt and had other parts added over the years. In 1075 William the Conqueror ordered a cathedral to be built in Chichester and the main part of the present building was dedicated in 1108. Then again after two serious fires it was re - consecrated in 1199. The 277 ft spire is actually Victorian although it was originally added in the late 13th or early 14th century after it collapsed in 1861 it was rebuilt by Sir Gilbert Scott in four years.

The Arctic cathedral in Tromsų stood out amongst the smaller houses surrounding it and was visible long before we approached the bridge to cross over to the mainland. One of the great buildings of the world and it is the largest cathedral in Britain and 5th largest in the world. The cathedral has high gothic arches and bells in the tower. The construction of the cathedral was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott. Car Parking is available at the Cathedral, with a charge of £1. Multi stormy car parking is available nearer the city centre in Mount Pleasant and in neighboring Duke Street. There is some limited free street parking available. Entry to the cathedral is free of charge, but donations are invited - £3.00 (?4/$5US) is suggested. Prices for the Tower are £4.25 with concessions at £2.50. A family ticket for up to 2 adults and 3 children is £10.00.
