Advantages: Everything you could ever want from a classical CD
Disadvantages: none

...I have purchased and listened to many types of music and as a classical pianist always like to explore new CD's. This album has so many classics on it and is delightful to listen to. Did you know that opening music in 2001 - A Space Odyssey was from Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss or that the background music in the British Airways TV commercial was the Flower Duet from the opera Lakme? This compilation album is perfect whether you are a lover of classical music or just interested to find out what it is all about. The track listing shows what can be expected on this wonderful CD. 1. Advantages: Songs haven't dated
Disadvantages: Subtitles encourage you into Karaoke

...This is a review of the special thirtieth anniversary edition of "A night at the Opera" by Queen, 2 CD edition comprising the digitally remastered audio Cd and a DVD of the songs. The package is a double gatefold, that is both sides fold out and then fold out again and contains all the technical details of those involved in the original recording and those involved in bringing it together into this package. Besides the CD and DVD, there is a 20 page lyrics and photos booklet. Track 1 - Death on two legs (Dedicated to ... Opening with a piano introduction, the heavy bass, drums and screeching lead guitar quickly kick in to frame Freddie's vitriolic attack on past management perhaps. The video sees Freddie in a selection of harlequin jumpsuits, simultaneously sat at a piano whilst also working the stage for the crowd. Track... Read review

The Greatest Ever Album?
Review of London Calling - Clash (The) by  waynehorrigan

Advantages: Wide ranges of styles expertly covered
Disadvantages: One duff track out of 19!

...WHO WERE THE CLASH? ------------------------------------- The Sex Pistols invented punk. The Clash developed it, rode it and then killed it. And thank goodness they did, otherwise we'd still all be walking around with safety pins on our jackets, green mohicans and gobbing at everyone over 25. They were made up of MIck Jones, Joe Strummer, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon. Mick and Joe shared the vocals duties on most Clash tracks, but it's Joe who sings on their better known tracks: Bankrobber, London Calling. However, Mick does sing on their only number one (the reissued Levi's ad song Should I Stay Or Should I Go?). Paul sung a bit and played bass and Topper Headon was the drummer.
