Advantages: Unmatched acting, excellent story, and important reminder of history Disadvantages: Clichéd to a degree, the focus of the tale may not be the best for everyone
Glory is an outstanding film of an outstanding act of heroism. It may be flawed in a number of small ways but overall it is incredible, easily one of my favorite films and one I return to time and time again.
The film covers the introduction of the first black fighting unit in the US Army, during the civil war and it does this through the eyes of their white commanding officer. It's a move that could be seen as either incredibly sensible or somewhat patronizing. Overall I think it works, but ultimately it's this decision that means the film is open to some criticism, but more about that later.
Covering the time from the creation of the 54th Regiment of Massachusetts to their heroic attack on a fortified Confederate position the film dips into many clichés from war movies without ever overusing them. There's a traditional structure ...

Advantages: high resolution pictures, detailed photographs, easy to use Disadvantages: A little more expensive than regular cameras
very easy to hold onto, with all of the buttons and switches at the fingertips making it easy to move from photograph mode to video recording without any form of fiddling. The weight is not too cumbersome either and the actual weight with the 2 AA batteries comes to only 295 grams.
The viewfinder is a small two and a half inch LCD screen and photographs are taken utilising 8 million pixels, providing an image resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The built in flash is very strong making picture taking in dark light or enclosed rooms no problem at all. The Canon Powershot A630 flash is very powerful, but there is also the option of setting a burst flash, whereby the flash flashes 3 times in quick sucession illuminating the room quickly before capturing the picture. The burst mode isvery good when taking photographs of static objects, but not ...
Advantages: Classic Tunes Disadvantages: Heard them all?
Now then now then. It is time for some power ballads ya?!
There are some real classic power ballads in here such as Nothing Compares 2 U from Sinead O'Connor and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, but this is nicely mixed with modern anthems like How you remind me by Nickelback and Hero by Chag Kroeger and Josey Scott.
It says it is the best driving anthem but I would not advise you to buy it for driving as it could get your heart racing a bit much with the meotion of it!
If you are looking for a full throttle trip through time with some classic tunes which you may or may not like, but it is highly unlikely that you could listen to it and not feel at least a little sentimental or at least remember something about a certain time in your life.. be it a bad/good time with a boy/girlfriend or just a great time with friends. ...
